I'd be keen to go down and watch a training session, but I don't get back to Melbourne until the 23rd - and leave again on the 2nd of January... I don't like my chances somehow...

I think their last training session is on Friday 23rd of December at 9:30am and return between 15- 20 (i think) January.

As soon as someone posted his pic after the draft yesterday that was literally the first thing that came to my mind. Preseason training would kill the poor guy. Thankfully its a predominantly winter sport that he has chosen

He is from country SA, so I imagine he has coped with the sun before

Compared to Hartlett what are the relative physiques. It seems to me he has been recruited with the though in mind that Hartlett may not make it.

195cm, and 88kg when he was 19.

I think that unless Hartlett can play some solid footy this year, and doesn't get injured again, he's gone at the end of 2007. It's a shame, because he has wonderful potential, but i can't see the club holding onto someone, when we have so many young and able (injury free) players fighting for spots.

But let's not get too far ahead of ourselves

Thanks AWG. I hope my gut feel is wrong about HArts and he can get on top of his injuries.
I really can't wait for rnd 1, to smash the Tiges and put all the coach/board/trade rubbish behind us and talk about footy.
