some of us just like to bottle up that excitement a but more than you do

Just looking at the sexysquad pics - doesnt Hampson look like he's going to be a giant when he fills out! Cloke will prove to be a worthwile (free)pick up IMO. Also good to see the guys smiling and having fun.

Surely the captaincy will be announced in the next week or so? Nab Cup is only....22 days away!

BTW, if you go-and this is directed to anyone and everyone going along to watch-it would be greatly appreciated if you could provide us with detailed reports.

Let's see if we can make the guys and girl over at CSC look in awe at our reports and copy them on to their forum!

Hampson looks like he is really starting to fill out, which is very encouraging to see. He may not get any game time for the Blues in season 2007, but I expect to see him plenty of times in the future. Really happy with him.

IMO the captaincy won't be announced until a few days before the NAB Cup, maybe not even then-we may have to wait until just before the real season to learn who will be our Captain in 2007. And if we have to wait-so be it, I'm not too fussed. Give them as much time as they need, so they can make the right decision.

Saw him up close last week, and he really is a good size for a footballer. I really expect him to play quite a few games in '07.

Around 5 games would be an excellent return for where we picked him.

We don't want to put too much pressure on the young kids by setting our expectations too high, so we need to keep a lid on things a little bit...

He just looks ready to go J. Both he and Gibbs would be a bit further advanced with their development as they have played quite a bit on senior footy already.

It really wouldn't surprise me at all if he played 10+ games this year.

I'd like to see that, but I don't think that the coaching staff would do it-unless they are high picks, they don't seem as willing to select later picks until later in the season.

In saying that, I'd like us to have a Clint Bartram-esque story for season 2007. Whether it be Joey Anderson or Clint Benjamin, I'm not fussed, it would be a great story either way. I just can't see the club doing it.
