Awesome stuff.
Thanks for the report :thumbsu:

Yeah,
I heard last weekend that Essendon had spoken to Cousins (About 10 days prior) about picking him up in the PSD. Ah well, atleast he doesn't get the #9 if he does come to Essendon. :D

I look forward to seeing the new boys in their first training session,
I am hoping a few of them get a go next season. Would be good signs if they did according to Knighters interview :thumbsu:

Two curiosities:
1. How was Lovett?
2. How were the ruck stocks? (Bellchambers and Laycock)

Lovett trained well, took part in all drills and was good in the 3 on 3 drill.

Laycock was in the mod group and only ran laps at the start. Knights sayed in the press conferance that he was close to training but hoped he would participate soon.

Sorry can't comment on Bellchambers didn't notice him.

That doesn't make sense as they have consistently said they won't recruit Cousins and I can remember reading an article with Lloyd recently where he reaffirmed we won't take Cousins and that it was sad that his career may be over now.

I hope we do pick him up.

Thanks for the training report Hirdy:thumbsu:

Have just talked the family into going to training next Monday, at La Trobe. Will be sure to take pictures and provide a descriptive report on what eventuated throughout the training session. Might not be up to Ant's heights, but I'll give it my best shot.

I remember heading down to La Trobe about 3-4 years ago watching the boys train for a series of training sessions, in which I eventually got all of the player's signatures on a nice red & black guernsey.

Was thinking yesterday that your lot has recruited quite well over the last 2-3 years, especially in terms of your defence. Ryder, Myers (who I think will be a gun), Pears and Hurley (both can go fwd or back). This will be a pretty awesome backline in a couple of years.
