The image below perfectly illustrates Cloke's problem when taking a set shot for goal. See how he leans back when his foot is about to make contact with the ball. He also doesn't appear to watch the ball go onto his foot.

^^^

I was just thinking th exact same thing. Is BT still our Goal kicking coach cos surely he should've ironed out the leaning back problem by now.

I'm not convinced. I reckon it's because his tongue sticking out is affecting his ability to read the wind.

ROFL!!! :D Yes, possibly.:p;)

DJ Flossy - any comments on Josh? How did he train? I'm a bit surprised he wasn't named in the team for Friday so wondering if he is injured or something?

Settle down guys. It wasn't a set shot. It was a 20m stab to the pocket. But having said that Trav's kicking style does leave a lot to be desired.

Josh trained the whole session with the main group (as did did Medhurst and Rocca) and he didn't seem hampered at all. Leaving him out of the side may just be a final rehearsal for Wood and Bryan to see who gets the second rucking spots come the season proper.

Also slants to his left side which makes for the fade

BUT THESE BOOTS MUST BEEN WORN EVERY GAME!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the reply. :thumbsu:

if rocca trained with the main group today that would be a big step forward as from what i have heard he has only been doing light stuff or running(jogging) laps

Definitely was a big step from what i'd previously seen. He moved pretty well and his use by foot was pretty good (one 60m bullet hit a leading Anthony on the tit). His fitness still looks ordinary at best and his hands still need a fair bit of work. He looks as though he's need close to a month in the VFL before he's picked.

Good to see him out on the track with the main group though.

No, no Roc - he's using his tongue to read the wind.

Thanks for the pics, Fossy. Dawes looks particularly well.:thumbsu:

I saw Rocca today driving down Gaffney St,
Drives a beautiful Ford XT, extremely subtle.. lol
Lives near there, oddly enough across the road from his parents. very good Italian boy lmao
