Re: Training 29/11/06

He was a long way off - right over on the score board wing... but he looked like he fit in. There were a couple of times when he, and some other guy who I guess must have been a rookie / draftee (but wasn't Collard), were pulled out of the drill and just had a kick on the side until they were called back in again.

Keep an eye on the buddy draft dominguez... your turn is coming up. :)

Hope my buddy Crowley gets the brace of his leg pretty soon so he can do some proper pre-season training.

Re: Training 29/11/06

I'd be interested to know whether Headland was training with the midfield group or the forward group?

Dessie was mostly running around the 50 / HFF... I'm not sure which group he went into when they broke into groups.... I'm thinking it was the mids... but I'm not 100% sure...

If it was the mids it'll further support the thread i started a while back about Duffield and Tarrant strengthening our midfield by releasing Hayden and Headland.

If he is truly training as a mid i'm right in assuming that Tarrant will be taking his role around HF in the forward line and Des will be making more appearances on the ball.

Either way, next year will be an interesting year for Des. He played predominantly as a forward in 06 and for the latter part of 05. If he has truly 'graduated' to the midfield, we might see the best or worst of him yet.

Re: Training 29/11/06

5 minute visit this morning...

Des was definitely with the forwards this morning, no mistaking it.
Browney was with the midfielders.
Duffman was with the backs.

Then I saw this big guy - big upper body, tall, strong, developed, quite quick... working with the backs. He beats Parker in a body-on-body, then beats McPharlin on a lead...

I'm looking, looking, looking... then it dawns on me. It's The Rumbler. :thumbsu:

Captain Pump - you got yourself a ripper buddy, no doubt!

I just got goosebumps reading that. So excited. Beating Old Man Shane and Lukey...that is something to write home about. Glad to hear the quick part, as there have been questions raised over his speed.

I can picture it now...The Rumbler one-out in the goalsquare with Gehrig. Disbelief spews from the mouth of Bruce McAvaney as The Rumbler tosses him aside like a rag-doll, calmly takes the mark and procedes to pump it to Heathblack on the flank...

Re: Training Analysis - Ongoing

Exciting stuff IP, good work, the news about Rumbler I must agree is very promising.
