Sweet Jesus. Can anything the club predicts pan out? Howe was apparently a sure thing to play- now out. Goldy was going to play in the VFL-out. It seriously will never flucking end. I am feeling a slide is imminent. I'm actually very concerned about Brisbane next week. They have a number of mobile big forwards and we have short people to go with them. By the time Reid and co return we will be playing off for 12th.
Sometimes you have to take what the club say with a grain of salt and reinterpet.

Yes they were positve early this week with Howe but the rider was that he hadn't done any proper training yet. It's pretty well known that anyone who has had a significant concussion will suffer headaches , dizziness etc once active. It was always pretty clear that the club wouldnt really know anything for sure til later in the week so nobody should have been thinking he was in anyway given a likely all clear early this week.

So why not say he is very unlikely? I agree that players normally miss a week but the "noises" were so positive I assumed he must be right.

AS Bucks said in his media conference "who would have thought at the start of the year, you'd be saying, gee its really good to have Brayden Sier available for selection"

Fantastic isnt it? We missed him - he really does offer something different. Very glad he's back.

I did the maths and as long as we keep up with our current pace of injuries (2/week) but we get 3 back every week then I can firmly say that we will have just 500 injuries before finals. That's a decrease of 12% from 2013.

Ok Ill admit I'm not the greatest at maths.

OK I will try to answer the questions you have posed:
Bucks said they expected Howie to be available but he didn't get up. Madgen to play instead..
Goldy left the track early and whilst he wasn't limping, he looked very disappointed. According to Bucks, he has jarred his back. This setback is yet another in his long recovery, but my take on what Bucks said at his presser is that he may not make it back full stop.
Bucks and Jamie not only had a long conversataion but it finished with a long caring hug from Bucks. You could hear the sigh from the ladies present.
Fasolo did the full session and was in high spirits. Always spends time with the supporters.
Two forgotten men: Adam Oxley and Blairy did a full session. Blairy was friendly and courteous and spent time posing for selfies as he left the field.
DeGoey was not on the track.
Regarding Treloar, he was monitored by a trainer the whole session. At one stage both he and Apples jogged across to the computer tracker to check on their times and distances. Both look in very good shape considering.
Treloar's injury is severe I know, but he really looked as if he could play in a few weeks. Before training I remarked to Apples2 that Treloar would not play again in 2018. Half way through training Apples2 suggested I should get my eyes tested.
After training, as I walked back into Melbourne, I declared to Apples2 that Treloar was a shoo-in to play finals. That could be the spring-like sunshine clouding my judgement, but Adam looks damn good.
BTW Saintly Viewed, Brayden Sier has gone to a No.2 buzz cut. I have lots of photos if you would like to see them ;);););)

I always see those statements being more about not declaring things to the opposition. Won't make any difference really but I assume the coaches believe every 0.00001% counts. My view was they could really never be that positive how he was til he trained etc.

Apples great pics.

Very much appreciated:)

And how big strong and powerful is Sier looking.
And he really has that extra thing called, Vision.

I like Sier’s cut. He means business. Or maybe he’s just mean. It’s a bear trait.
