He looked wiry. Sort of like Dean Laidley.
Arms looked thinner too. Maybe it wasn't Armfield :)

Just on Cripps, he's running isn't as heavy as it was last year.
Really moving nicely across the park now even with his heavier body.
His improvement in this preseason and the last is testiment to how good he wants to be. Can't wait to see him in game mode.

His improvement over the last couple of years has been inspiring. For a guy who was picked up with the steak knives pick coming back with Judd, it's impressive how he has willed himself to get to 125 games so far.

Craig buoyed by youngsters

“He’s got a crystal clear picture in his head which he’s been able to articulate to the coaches and to the playing group on the way he wants to play, but just as importantly the way to coach that to the players.”
And it appears the team is listening and responding positively to Bolton’s methods.

Since arriving at the Club in November their endeavour and willingness to learn has him optimistic about their futures.
“I’m really quite buoyed on the training track by what I’ve seen from those young guys who have been drafted – you can pick up pretty quickly on the training track whether they’ve got it or not.”
The audio is here also.
