Shame for Plowman, he was one I was really looking forward to seeing in action, was trying to look for him at training yesterday and just couldn't seem to spot him, that explains it really.

Still 21 and lots of time to get his body right, but nowadays an interrupted preseason usually leaves players underdone come the season proper. Still hopefully he can get himself fit and ready and come in later in the season.

Does Plow have a big tank? Just wondering if he will be able slot in to the rd 1 team. If he naturally has a big tank and is a good runner he might be a chance.

I'm not an expert on Plowman and haven't seen lots of him from GWS, but he will always be a chance, its a long season and you don't have to be in the team in Rd 1 to play. I'm almost certain he will be given games. As much as I would love to see us pushing up the ladder and pressing for finals, one would assume that towards the middle part and end to the season we will be able to experiment and give people a chance to play due to injury and circumstance, so no doubt of the 15 new players we will probably see most of them get a run at some stage, bar possibly SOS and the rookies who are just not physically ready I'd think.

Reading through the injury update he will be back to light training in only a couple of weeks. I don't think he'll have too much of an issue regarding fitness if that is the case as long as there are no setbacks. I'm guessing he does have a good tank naturally too, considering how high he was taken in tne draft. The fact that he already has had a few pre seasons and finished the season strong would also help a fair bit.
With no setbacks I'm tipping he will play against the Bombers at PP in the NAB cup for 1-2 qtrs and at least 3 quaters the following game, I think against the swans, as a lead into RD1.
Really excited about Plow.

Silvagni and Curnow both listed at 191cm but look taller than that in photos* (using other players as a reference)

Any comment from the track watchers?
In some ways it's hard to know with the recruits. McKay was listed as 199 or 200 and anywhere from 85kg to 95kg depending on whom you choose to believe. Weitering was quoted as being anywhere from 194-197cm and 91-97kg depending upon the source. Silvagni was listed as either 191-193cm and 79-84kg depending upon whose stats were considered up to date. Curnow was actually one whose stats remained pretty much a constant, but looks taller due to the hair factor. I swear he needs to stop using that hair volumiser. FWIW here's some group running photos where you can attempt to draw your own conclusions about various players height & weight.......at your own peril I should warn, because it can be deceptive.

Phillips is like Cripps in that he simply loves training and everything is done with a smile.

Just like Greyhound training, although I'd rather put a tenner on a real rabbit being able to evade the wolf pack than DVR. Everitt always looks much taller than he really is and I'm always really surprised to see he's listed at 194cm.

Would be real nice now that CFC have their own media department if they updated our players photos and vital statistics. Those photoshopped images on the club website are terrible and the players' physical statistics are probably no longer relevant.
