Just coz you have a Brownlow Jimmy doesn't mean you can bash up your team mates! Poor Prizza.

Bartel looked ok but didn't really standout as a big improver. He is slightly more toned in his arms I'd say.

Mackie is the same size as last year. I was impressed with his physicality in contests.

I'd have to say Selwood looked a bit out of touch in the 60 minutes of training that I saw. He didn't get much of the ball during match simulation and when he did his disposals were below par on a few occasions. Don't read too much into my observations as I only had a brief glimpse of him.
hmmm i was expecting mackie to be one who would bulk up.....

We think that every year... haha

Regarding prismall, is it possible for him to break into ur starting 22? And if it is will he have a massive impact or just be rotated off the bench with not much game time?

He is a definite chance to break into the seniors this year if he doesn't get injured (like the last few times). I assume like other players stepping up from VFL that he will be rotated off the bench, but thats not to say that he wont make a big impact. He has been unlucky in the past with injuries at the worst times but this is it, this is his year! Go Priz!

Mackie just has one of those body's were putting on muscle is near impossible and takes like 4 times as long, but they dont put on any fat no matter what, my mates the same

I'll be there tomo! will provide a report

cant wait mate:thumbsu:

does anyone else have a report on varcoe, loners, max rooke and our draftees?

Ok, here we go.

Got there a bit after 9 and the boys were out on the track.

One group of blokes (consisting mainly of the younger blokes) were doing tackling drills.

Varcoe and Djidi looked ferocious in their tackles. The prospect of both of them putting forward line pressure on is tantalizing.

Gamble also looked pretty strong, seems to have finished with his injury troubles from last year.

The other group consisted of the senior players. They were working on how to move the ball quickly from the back 50, to the top of the forward 50.

The boys are loooking really pro at it. Scarlo really set up a lot of plays with bartel looking for the quick hands from the marker.

They then went off and did some tackling as well to finish off the session.

meanwhile on the Hickey stand side of the ground Otto, Westy, Blake and Hawkins (I think) were working on their contested marks/punches/hitouts.

They weren't really out for long.

Didn't spot any of the draftees, guess they got to have some time off.

Sorry about all the questions, but apart from those you mentioned in your original post did anyone else stand out or impress?

Pretty hard to judge during the tackling drills.

Selwood looked good with the ball movement stuff.

Davenport is looking in flying shape. Bedford is improving as well :thumbsu:

How was Hawkins at training Rizzo?

Pretty sure he was over on the far side with otto and that. Didn't really watch them.

However the last time i was at training, he was lean and had a heap of muscle. Was working on his running, and looks really fit :thumbsu:

How was Hawkins at training Rizzo?

I'll add a few comments as well.

Hawkins looked to me like he's lost about 5-6 kgs. Much leaner and very fit. The last thing I saw was most of the big guys (Ottens, West, Hawkins, Mooney) plus some of the new recruits doing the same tackling drill the smaller guys were doing earlier. A lot of one on one grappling too. As you would expect, they all looked in very good shape.

I saw Egan earlier too, when the senior guys were moving it from end to end, so he was out there. The only guys I couldn't spot were Chappy and Tenace. Pretty much everyone else was out there at some point or another.
