Does anyone on here get down to Dees training at all?

Would love to know how all the boys are travelling on the track.....

After reading the thread title, I was excited for a second there.

EDIT:

Here are some images from a recent session, which indluded the new draftees.

Maric, in particular, seems to have bulked up.

EDIT 2:

After having a look around, I found this on another forum:

very short report as I only wanted to have a look at the new guys if I could, that is if I could remember what they looked like.

GAWN - to sum him up on a quick look today I would have to say the kid has talent, an asset in the making.

FITZPATRICK - he needs work, and I say that in a positive way, he did some running drills with the new guys, his style (well he hasn't got any) reminds me of Ben Holland, that same strange way of running, the coaches were working hard with him to show him where he was going wrong, to his credit I think he will be a quck learner.

Watching him today with his cap on and that hair going everywhere he reminded me of Scarecrow from 'The wizard of Ox'.

This was only his first session so I make no judgements.

BLEASE - coming along nicely, will be in to full training after the break, something I look forward too.

JAMAR/SPENCER - If I can put them in to the same bracket, both are looking so much better and quicker on the ground, where generally they have been slow because of their size, I think that has all changed, I would be expecting good things from them next year, I know I have said it before, I keep my fingers crossed that I'm right.

STRAUSS - I know it's early but here is another kid that I think will have a positive impact next year, hand should be rigth in the next couple of weeks, meaning just after the break.

NEWTON - tempted but I keep deleting my comments.....enough said.

Interesting watching the guys do a boxing session at the end of training, don't like it as a 'sport' but the guys take it all so seriously.

WATTS - did a short session after training, tough little bugger.

JOEL - don't know what they will call him as we have two J mcDonalds and a Jordie mac, small problems anyway, back to Joel, trains hard, given the chance I think will fit right in.

BENNELL/JETTA - really think next year will be a good year for both of them.

NOTE - if anyone is going down to training bring the fly spray, they may be the small variety, but they make up for it in number, there are millions of them.

cheers

Yes it is Maric in those pics.....he is looking heaps bigger, in a good way!

Gee I like the look of Tapscott - looks like he could run through a brick wall.

Thanks for the links too.

Ah I saw him in the gym yesterday talking to some of his mates, I heard them talking about Melbourne but didn't realise that he played for us.
He is not that big, pretty ripped though.

He didn't have alot of good things to say about our current midfielders

Are you talking about Maric or Tapscott?

Tapscott looks huge in photo 22. Also great to see Jurrah and Wonaeamirri together in photo 28. WIll be exciting with both of them inside the forward line.

I don't see the 'bigness' to Maric but he definitely looks very toned and fit. I think it will be his first preseason and I'm expecting some good results from him. What did he actually say sivart?

Jones looks set for a big year. Colin Sylvia looks set to destroy this competition.

Tapscott looks like the big guy from the fantastic4.

I was under the impression Gawn still had a fair way to go in recovering from a knee operation...? Any chance he'll be ready for the NAB cup?

No strapping, no brace around either knee in pic 20.

No knee injury is good, though I believe his particular injury was not "too" bad for a knee injury.

Judging from those pics.

Id say that Sylvia has kept in good nick over the break,
which is a good sign, he looked trimmer than usual, will
be in for a great year, Im excited.

Maric, wow.. Has obviously worked really hard in the gym,
to transform in a short space of time, means he has his
head screwed on this kid, mustve been smashing the gym
in the break.

Jurrah looks good, getting some lean muscle on that slight
frame, cant wait to see Jurrah in 2010.

Tapscott, Geez! I looked at Gysberts and thought, your
light on, Scully not as much - but still, you can see the new
kids are light on body wise, then you get to Tapscott, what
a scary proposition hes going to be after a yr or 2 in the gym,
looks massive already.

Gee I like the look of Tapscott - looks like he could run through a brick wall.

He is a unit, big across the chest and shoulders. If he displays good form early he will play senior footy his body is ready.

Colin Sylvia looks set to destroy this competition.

The AFL competition or the competition to plough the most birds, cos the way he is looking he will win hands down!

Maric looks bigger and more defined, likewise Jurrah looks to have put on a little bit more size, both are looking mroed toned than last year.

Geez Tapscott is huge, definitely getting him in the SC team early.
Photo 14 of Scully, the handball technique is textbook-perfect, loving it...
Gawn and Fitz both look fairly gimpy lol.
Bailey at 15, the King of Cool.

Does Tapscott have much speed?

Not a hell of a lot of toe, but his evasiveness isnt too bad.

Tapscotts very dangerous around goals, he was kicking bags of
4-5 in last yrs under 18 championships. He was turning them inside
out last year, so its another dimension he can play.

Just looks massive atm, Imagine if the kid grows, height wise!
Now Im dreaming of a real power CHF.

Tapscott will easily replace Mclean, Tapscott can kick the flamin
thing a mile aswell.

I doubt he'll suddenly grow 10 cm to become a CHF but he'll still be a very dangerous flanker.
