This will be one of those footy tragedys that forever live in footy folklore, at the Hawks at least.
After all is said and done he was only 20 years of age, he still has time on his side to get his body and his attitude right because there is no denying he was a very talented young man.

The unsubstantiated rumor going around is he's going to the Gold Coast with one of their five rookie picks.

Yeh that looked awsome. If it wasnt just the camera angle then hes far more advanced physically than I thought he would be.

Blease is also looking strong through the legs which I was worried about given he was quite slim in the legs as a junior and had the leg break last year.

Morton has lost a couple of kgs by the look of it though..

While he might have out on weight he is still skinny as a rake. Saw him at the races last Sat and he is still very skinny looking indeed. Will be a number of years before we see the big Jake Watts.

Hopefully, one way or another, he can come out of the pre-season at least somewhat ahead of where he was at the start of this year... although that indication doesn't sound too promising of course mate.
