So we need to fly to NZ for team bonding???

I say drop them off at the top of Mount Kosiosko with a compas in teams of 5 and the first team back to Punt road wins......

most teams are doing it now, im pretty sure all the boys would wont to do it to, its worked well for the pies. look how well they play as a team. you want to be a average team forever, we need to keep up with the competition and keep spending money on the development of the team

Nothing wrong with a team bonding trip as long as they aren't slacking off the whole time which they won't be. Especially with a list like ours, majority in the 18-24 age bracket (few older players we actually have must feel out of the loop :D). Team unity, etc.

They will be working hard on the track for the next 9+ months, if anything this will focus them by mixing it up a bit while also having a bit of fun. They're only human not robots. I think it's a good idea.

I dont have a problem with the going away for team bonding thing but 4-5 days isnt really long enough imo.

2 weeks would be more the time frame that i would believe to be about right.

Nut, you do realise they won't be playing cards for the next 4 days right? :o

Where better to use money in a football club, than on the development of the players? Sheesh

Thus the phrase was coined... damned if you do, damned if you don't
Well said.:thumbsu:

If someone gave me a job for organising the trip my first preference would be the Kokada Trail without hesitation. A trip that is demanding, but learning about mateship and turning our boys into soldiers

if you want a real trail take the boys to the US and get them to tackle to Appalachian Trail... only takes approx 5 months to complete crosses through something like 14 states and you only have to encounter bears and rattlesnakes.

When i was in the US i did 11 miles of it as part of a camp and came across both animals lol

Guys went to Ikea today and saw Troy taylor running laps with two trainers when I went past Punt Rd.

The plot thickens?
Early enough to make the flight as well was it db?
Otherwise TT not travelling with the group?

I hate speculation but it is what you get with an absence of facts. (& yet here I am speculating...)

Wouldn't be the worst idea.

The camp should be nice. Cannot imagine the mood in NZ is too chirpy right now, though.

Part of the conditions of his sentence he can't leave the country, etc?

If not it isn't a great sign I reckon, should be one of the first blokes on the plane for a team bonding exercise.

Probably just isn't able to leave the country for a while much like Krakouer couldn't go to Arizona.

May actually be that he can't enter New Zealand with a criminal record - that's what applied to Kracks and the US anyway.

you dont need a passport to go to New Zealand[/QUOTEYER
My word you do. Just Kia Ora'd the team at the airport and after a quick puzzle, escorted my team to the hotel after initially going to the wrong carpark. Helping team including Luke, Ty, Dusty, Ben N.
Here's an airport arrival shot. More to come.

Possible this is the case, as I've seen on Border Patrol that they have knocked back people from NZ because of criminal convictions. Wouldn't be shocked to see that this is the case with Troy.
