To be fair, Martin was in the group with Lids, White, and Nahas... not the slowest group going around.
Not that it matters but White wasn't in the group it was Connors. I'm hardly having a go at Martin, I'm just saying it's obvious how much impact multiple preseasons has had on the other guys, and Martin can only improve with his fitness, which is a good thing.

pitty he cant play the game... we dont want some washed up reject that melbourne got rid of. if he couldn't get a game for the demons what does that tell ya.... dont matter how big he is he still cant play the game and why would you waste your time with him. bring a kid in instead. who cares how big he is remember courtney johns from essendon he was built like a brick shithouse but played footy like a 10 year old girl we dont want to recruit duds anymore!!!

Huh?

is such hard training a good idea for the first week of november?

Seeing as we're not after a premiership this year so injury and fatigue won't really be an issue... yes

It'll mean we get more fit, and they can push the boys harder in following seasons with less fatigue. It's time we started running other sides off their feet.

I agree to condition the boys to having to play 22 rounds, and then the finals, but i don't think the guys should (and won't) being pushed this hard until round 1. I'd assume that there would be a taper down well before round 1, and then slowly building up again. I'm not even that concerned if the ramp up doesn't really start until after the first half dozen rounds (and i am talking fitness here, not skills training) The peak of performance has to co-incide with the finals, not the home and away series.

It's the only training taking place today by coincidence

From his twitter

28 or 29 degrees in Melbs today- thank god we only have weights and meetings- im not built for this weather :)

If it's about percentages how many Caucasian players got delisted over the same "decade" as the whopping 8 indigenous player Kaino listed?

Kaino is not right.

We have had good indigenous players in the past and we will again, we should not just give up and discriminate who we draft according to their race everyone is different and should be treated accordingly.

the number is less but the percentage is much higher actually, 8 from 10ish is a much higher percentage than anything else

Permission to train list:
Ben Jakobi (Coburg, VFL), Tom Hislop (Richmond), Brad Miller (Melbourne)

Interesting to note no Houli, I suspect that was due to him only being officially delisted this morning. Expect to see him on the list in the near future.

From what i'm reading, i have no issue with what Dimma is doing. Just keep getting the miles into the legs, and smashing the weights. A ball should also never leave their hands, in the other moments. Go Tigers.

Anyone know who he is.

186cm midfielder who played for Sandringham in the U/18s last year, was tipped to go in the rookie draft last year on the AFL site in their phantom draft. TFLUA would probably know a bit more.

Training schedule is broken down into blocks until Round 1, end of each 6 weeks is the hardest week, theyre in week 2 or 3 atm

And Miller tweeted it has been hardest training of his Life. Either theyre not doing something right at Melb or we've got a traning schedule running of is T$TTS!!!!

What about Lawton from Coburg? I think his first name was James???

Is listed at 192cm but certainly seems taller then that, however maybe thats just attributed to his thin frame.

Player for NSW champs team back in 2009 but didn't get drafted. Started in Coburg reserves then played games at full forward and center half forward with the seniors and did pretty well. If this guy was on our list this year, he would have played 5-10 games easy.

I reckon we could get him in the rookie draft which would be an absolute steal. Could be a project CHF for our side? Alternatively could easily even make it as a winger of HFF due to his good speed and mobility.

To balance the argument I would say his only downside would be his light frame, and his overhead marking.

I just found from another source that he is 197cm, so who knows. Also, he kicked 9 goals from 6 Coburg senior matches this year which is very handy and more impressive the Westoff who couldn't break the side. Played CHB for
NSW aswell in the 09 championships which suggests he has had limited experience up forward
