Mega Thread TRAINING REPORTS

Any one else going to attend. Weather probably means sitting in the grandstand.

Undecided about Thursday at the moment. I'll probably end up going though.

Do you disagree?
I suspect there is history there, I didn't see any issue. There often seems to be a bit of argy bargy in here that I don't understand but at least it is a bit more inclusive than Dockerland ;)

It was love at first post for Whiteoak and Coulda. So much so that they've planned for a night on the sake/saike/sarkee.

Nah, he's a great bloke, I really mean that.:)

But stop treating us like babies is all I ask.

Some of his other stuff is SO ludicrous that it's pure gold!

If the stuff is so ludicrous why do you make similar posts

Why bag people that make an effort or would you rather just read your own posts and answer them .

Most people just enjoy being able to pass the time and talk about footy stuff where as you look for faults , an argument or want to put anyone down that doesn't agree with you .

To be honest I feel sorry for you, I hope you get better soon.

Thanks for the training reports, guys! I will salute anyone who goes out there in the the rain on Thursday.

Intriguing prospect to note Michie was training with the main group. Does this mean Hilly won't be back in time? chuffed as I am to see a debut, can't figure out who Ross will drop for Viv and why. any ideas?

Maybe he'll just be named as an emergency but would have to train with the main group just in case he gets the call up.

Viv is a big unit and is an inside mid it could be D Pearce .

Ross could be looking for a better match up on Swan .

I think the Collingwood game could be in the wet and so Ross maybe looking for strong body's.

The game is going to be a bit of a knock em down slug it out dog fight so extra grunt is going to be the order of the night and that doesn't suit Pearces style of play.

Back in Perth next week. Unfortunately due to the inconsiderate scheduling of my brothers bucks party I can't make the collingwood game. However, im heavily considering attending training. See how this caper works.

Highly unlikely that michie will play. The only change from last weeks game will be Hill. In a stretch, maybe clarke as well.

I'm a little wet over the prospect of Mora returning although I can't remember who it was saying that Mundy "hammers the ground" or something similar. His running and movement through traffic is supremely effortless - makes it look like he's out for a jog

Iseewhatyoudidthere:)

Pearce has extracted a lot of ball for us this year, in traffic. He has also put a lot of pressure on the ball carrier and taken a tagger away from another mid. Its an assumption that Michie will do that better. Prefer he comes in at the expense of someone else, this may be the game where the DE turns around.

Although we don't deal in hypotheticals.

I think so. It's an interesting concept to debut Michie as a direct match up on Swan, one of the premier mids in the competition, in a crunch game for us. It really does get more ludicrous every day.

It's almost like a spoiler, or fortune cookie.. highlight to reveal wisdom

Michie is obviously in the mix for selection as you would expect but those training in the AFL group are just those in consideration I thought - club has been pretty clear on Thursday press releases on their site before the game if a player is going to debut.

Silvagni was used a fair bit to bash and crash the young GCS bodies at clearances but I don't think that is a long term thing just a stop-gap because of missing Fyfe. Guess Michie or Silvagni again are the options for this against the Pies until Fyfe is back.

Hopefully selection either side of the bye is going to be tough with Pav, 211, Michie, Clarke and Mora all possibly back and Fyfe already back.

Viv would also help up forward re: need for scoring punch. He would be a good replacement for someone coming out through form or fatigue.

Really happy Michie is showing the recruiters got it right. He has cracked on, after a very long period away due to his injury.

Glad to know I'm not alone regards Viv .
Would love to be a fly on the wall when the coaches are going through the list of players and who gets to
play and who doesn't

I reckon that you'd be alone in Michie matching up on Swan thou.

No-one has said that Viv is not worthy of a call-up.

Viv is an inside mid and a big unit so at some stage I would have thought common sense dictates that he will be competing against Swan.

So what is wrong with letting him run with Swan for some time ie a1\4 or 2 and Viv gets some real exposure to an A grade mid .

If you asked him who he wanted to play on the answer would be Swan , Pendlebury or Ball .
