Word on the street is Mundy out, Jesse "Mule-ay" in.
Need... to... contain... myself...

I went down to training today only to find that they were training at Subi Oval instead. The only player that was training at Freo Oval today was Sam Menegola and he was being watched by Tanner Smith complete with his arm in a sling.

So after doing my block and giving the groundsmen the bird as I spun my wheels in disgust as I left the ground broken hearted, I suddenly had an idea.

As Subi Oval is on the way home for me I thought I would try my luck in getting in to watch what I presume was a closed training session.

So after 20 minutes of trying door after door I finally found an open one leading into the stadium.

So I wandered on in and sat down quietly to watch the boys train, noticing that here were 35 players on the track in total and they were broken into 2 groups being the WAFL boys and the full squad of 25 named to play on Sunday. However Hayden Crozier trained alone and just had shots on goal from what I saw.

The other surprise today was that Ryan Crowley trained with the WAFL boys and not the main squad.

Ibbo and Mundy trained well and should both play for mine. Luke McPharlin did a little bit of running but I guess we wont see him do much if he won't play until round 23.

Mora was not sighted, nor was Clancee Pearce.

From the 40 minutes of training that I saw the boys just did general drills and sprints rather than spend the whole session on doing match sims using the vast expanses of Subiaco Oval to practice their game plan and set ups on.

The weather was great and the boys looked sharp as they took in the atmosphere of a completely empty stadium, apart from one training observer whom had snuck in undetected into to watch them train.

Then after watching about 40 minutes of training Jason Webber spotted me in the stands and went over to Luke Morphess to report an intruder inside the ground. Not waiting to be asked to leave I decided to keep my dignity and throw my self out of the stadium instead.

Well at least the door didn't my arse on the way out I suppose.

This is awesome !!! Great job haha. They so think a Giants spy snuck in and will now change everything ;)

the BF tragic in me loved that report, but the Freo fan in me wishes that there were less "secrets" revealed for prying eyes.
maybe I'm just being paranoid & I would like 2 state, that I hang out for any news about Freo & thank the posters. :thumbsu:

You should have seen the look on Jason Webber's face when he spotted me. He didn't take his eyes off me for a second whilst he walked over to the "release the hounds" button inside the players race.

I did not take my binoculars into the ground with me for fear of looking like a spy but they still spotted me.

BTW- The service at the Carlton Mid Bar on the ground level was terrible today.

I was first in the queue and still wasn't served after waiting an hour in line for a beer. I gave up in the end and left the ground in disgust. At least Culley's had their act together earlier on.

Great work Harry. I'm thankful that I decided to give training at Freo a miss this morning. Hopefully I'll see you next week.

Cheers

There may be a warrant out for your arrest :D

Lol, great work mate. No doubt they thought you were a spy.

Absolute gold!!! It does not get much better than this. Thanks Harry!

Sorry SA, i generally don't mind your perspectives, but that's disgraceful. Lots of us on this board have been critical of different players, but surely we understand they're all having ago. In fact Jesse is one of the more passionate and desperate players. No guy trying his best should be called as shit prick, just because you don't appreciate his talent. I'll be happy for Jesse to get another go, and I hope he does really well.

I just don't think he's good enough. He's never had anything that screamed longevity or had a really exciting part of his game. He's a really bland footballer but isn't well rounded enough for it to be pulled off. Just sub-par in every aspect and I don't think he's good enough – especially when there are other candidates with much better WAFL form.

Anyone have a training report from Sundays 2:40pm session?

Nah mate, was just a light run and a few training drills. Nothing much to report unfortunately. Sandi was trying to learn how to hold a fu*%#^g mark all session, and Walters and ballas had some goal kicking practice.

Quite a few members turned up to training though. Must be close to finals.

Apart from that just a light one

Training Report 14/08/2103

The screeching of flocks of short-billed corellas as they pillaged the Morton bay fig trees greeted us today down at Wednesday training.

Breathing in the smell of freshly cut grass Salim and I took our position on the fence in the warm sunshine as the players made their way out onto the ground. The boys were in high spirits today as they had a reasonable session workload wise, however the match simulation drills were held back until the main session on Friday.

They even got to have a bit of fun today as the boys took turns in kicking banana shots at goal. This happened right in front of us and the players who nailed the shots from the boundary line received a warm round of applause from the training observers, whilst those who missed were jeered and verbally abused in our attempt to recreate a hostile opposition crowd at the MCG.

By the way, Matt Taberner and Alex Howson were fantastic at this drill and so was Zac Clarke, Sandi and Jesse Crichton.

However one shot on goal by Jesse Crichton hit the point post on the full and this resulted in a luke-warm polystyrene cup of tea complete with cigarette butts being hurled in disgust in his direction from the peanut gallery. This was a simulation drill that we provided just in case we play Collingwood in the finals.

Those on light duties today were Paul Duffield, Ibbo, Lee Spurr, Hayden Crozier and Cam Sutcliffe.

Those who did nothing other than light running were Josh Simpson and Clancee Pearce.

Stephen Hill was in the gym today and did not train at all and Luke McPharlin was not sighted.

Who volunteered to sit out so you weren't over representing the numbers?
