Mega Thread TRAINING REPORTS

Fyfey looked at it and then had a quick smell before he signed it though. I told him it was new and "fart free" thus far.

He then said, "So it's not a whoopee cushion then?" before giving back to me.

I then yelled out "Whoopee, it is now!"

I then ran through a pack of kids with my newly signed arse cushion eager to show Gaskin and Irish Docker.

Yip I can verify that Harry was smiling like a chesire cat when he arrived back to us with his signed cushion.

As regards this mornings session attendance register - Salim had another non appearance & has been marked absent for the week, Bluey nipped round to his mates after yesterdays training & had a skinful to begin his birthday festivities & departed todays session early, Harry was at the docs while Ken made his first appearance after a period in absentia & was accompanied by Gaskin & yours truly.

Far out you're pushing my memory to be honest i can't remember when he pushed forward but he rucked against griffo.
Thanks mate. I was just trying to get a gauge on if he looked strong against someone like McPharlin/Griffin or one of the younger blokes.

It certainly does. It means big Jack to stand in the goal square and give Grif some much needed help in the ruck.

Based on that short video of Hannath from the weekend that the club has posted (so, based on not much) I reckon Hannath should come in for Keps and when resting just set up in the goal square to clunk marks. That first mark in his video is very impressive given the conditions, the pressure and the situation he was in (ie. deep in defence). Swing him down the forwardline RTB and give him an opportunity to own Rance who can't play on talls to save himself.

Someone else said this weeks ago.;)

Where is Gaskin's training report?

I didn't get a chance to get on here last night as I got 'coerced' into going to the Norfolk.

There isn't really much to add to what JMT said except I thought Hilly was the stand out yesterday. His skills were superb and there was one point where with his right foot he hit I think it was Mayne on the chest in between 2 defenders. Also Tanner did some forward work in the drills so hopefully he gets a run up forward tomorrow if he keeps his spot.

Yeah, as Whiteoak so humbly points out, this has been discussed often before.

The big point is we are a Tall forward down with Pav out and Perhaps we can handle bringing Hannath in as well as keeping Kep in the side. Kep has been doing very well so far this season and whilst his ruck chopout for Griff is lacking he is a consistent 2-3 goal forward and IMO our forward structures work better when he's there.

When robbing Peter to pay Paul you really need to ensure Paul delivers more than Peter did. The same applies to all those calls about moving Macca forward - you get a 70% effective forward (which is possibly equal, maybe more than Kep) but replace him with a 50-60% back - forget the numbers but I am sure you understand whatever it is I am trying to say - overall negative effect.

getting my arse handed to me at work
????
are you an escort?
not that I will seek your services.

Obviously not an expression you're familiar with. Just super busy at work mate. Not an escort, although with my dashing good looks and Adonis-like body, only time will tell.

I went down to watch most of the training for the first time this year. So please, no scathing comments about my reporting
Zac D and Griff were the only ones I didn't see on the track from Fridays game. Was pleasing to see Mayne moving freely, I was a bit worried that he was sore.
Jesse C, Tanner and Silvagni were in full training, Silvagni played forward in the match sims and stayed behind afterwards to practice set shots so I think there is a pretty obvious clue there.
Zac C, Duffield, Faulks and Mora were out there for the full session but did not join in the main group. Duffield was moving freely though.
Generally the players were sharp but Ross was particularly emphasising rapid ball movement, Sheridan and Crozier were 2 young guys that copped it for not moving the ball on quickly. The sims were mainly about transition from our own kick ins to length of the field forward entries
MJ and Mzungu stood out for mine.
Walters, Ballas and Mellington in particular looked a bit off with their disposal

I've noticed a lot of this in the way we've played this year. Sometimes we've been over-eager to play on and got ourselves in a lot of trouble.

It's encouraging though because it's very different from the slow stop-go tempo the Saints used to play a lot of the time. Quashes those thoughts you read on the main board that RTB isn't capable of evolving as a coach.

Hi Caterina, how did Silvagni go in the match sims up forward?

Was Hannath tried forward as well?
