He was still running around, but he didn't seem to get as much of the ball in the last quarter while I was watching.

Crozier and Shero (in particular) seemed to get a bit more of the ball in the last. Tabs was taking some good marks.

Saw Motlop and a lot of Kelvin Lawrence. Not a heap of Michie. Some, but not as much as I did in the second and third. Whether this points to luck or fitness I have no idea.

Agree about Saturday's game but last week (v Swans) and rounds 2 and 3 he definitely ran the game out better than almost every other player in the game, so if he's fit enough to do that 4 weeks ago, he should be cherry ripe now (assuming he hasn't lost fitness over the last 2 weeks).

Good news then. That was the first game I'd seen Viv play this season.

If Michie's fitness isn't good enough, then how is Simpsons?
Not that flash in all honesty but he just needs another pre-season. This season if he gets a game it will be as sub. However, his defensive work is what is keeping him out of the team IMO.

Great I have missed you ;)

Might have to bring the raincoat and a thermos of coffee.

Just checked BOM and yeah it will be wet and windy. The Salim Malik Stand looks the goods.
Just don't go home and tell the missus that you had a fun night in the park with Harry Reems and his wet arse cushion.

Is Tanner Smith running around? He wasn't listed in the injured in the newspaper yesterday....

Training Report Thursday 2nd May

Today I arrived during the warm up. It was a slightly wet and very windy day. The training on a whole was of a reasonably high standard considering the conditions.

Tanner Smith, Crichton and Zack Clarke (Clarke with his calf strapped) are back in full training which is good news and Duffield looks to be over his calf problem. Max Duffy was doing some rehab work on the sidelines. Notable mentions were Suban, Hill and Mayne not joining in on training with the main group and instead doing some run throughs on the sidelines. Maybe some sore bodies. Ibbo was also doing run throughs and laps (it looks like he may have pulled up a little sore from last week’s game).

A quick question from Salim towards Roger Hayden asking as to if Hill is ok was eased with the response of “He’s out there running around.” in a very assuring tone of voice.

On the track Sutcliffe did everything right when it came to putting his case forward to selection this week. His kicking was precise and run was great to watch. The windy conditions didn’t seem to hinder his ability at all.

My wife Eva was most impressed with Morabito’s recovery and thought he looked as fit as what he did prior to LARS and also commented on how strong he was over head and his kicking looked great. Morra moved away from the main group during the match sims but looks to have a real appetite for getting back into the main squad.

Silvagni spent time up forward and down back. Hannath spent a lot of time forward and looked to be doing reasonably well.

I go back to work next week so this is it for me for a while, best of luck for the weekend and hope we have a win. :)

Thanks for that! Was MdB out there?

De Boer trained although Hill left the track after 10 minute or so of run throughs and didnt return. As JTB said I asked Roger the Dodger if Hill was OK .He said he was but you know trainers are prone to the occasional white lie
Suttcliffe was on fire today ,he played on Mitchie in the sims and cut him up withy his run.Suttcliffe the stand out today by far
Silvagni played defence on Hannath first set of sims then moved to centre half forward and matched up on Faulkes
He seemed to be involved in a lot of dummy leads taking the defender out to leave Hannath deep forward and palming the ball down,at one stage Ross was over the moon with the outcome and let the boys know with a loud well done .
If Suttcliffe gets a full game and plays like he trained mark him down for a rising star nom:D

Thanks for that. :thumbsu:

Don't like the sound of Hill. It was about this time last year that he started to play hurt and he pretty much carried an injury of some kind or another for the remainder of the year. He's certainly been putting his body on the line of late, so wouldn't surprise me he's a bit sore, just hope it's nothing more than a bit of body fatigue.

Cheers for the reports guys. Me rikey the bolded bit.

Was Griff also doing light training? Him and Hill weren't sighted at airport.. Hopefully Hill is just sore and needed some work.

Griff was doing normal training as far as I'm aware.

He certainly has, and yet it still never ceases to amaze me how opposition supporters still think he's a sheepdog frontrunner
