Photo's of today's sesh. I love the one of Simpson kicking off his left. He looks perfectly balanced on his opposite foot. I think Simmo is starting to put on a bit of size too. Still a ways to go though.

I love those indigenous strips.

Anyone notice the change in Zac Clarke, he seems to just have 'clicked'. I know it's only one game, but I notice a very different persona compared to the past, seems very determined and set. I think we are in for a treat in the second half of the season from Clarke.

4. Viv Michie looked the goods when amongst the players outside of the 22

Does this mean Michie didn't train with the 'AFL squad'?

Meaning he isn't likely to get a game this week?

He trained with the WAFL guys (Tabs, Forster, Mello etc.) and when you are with those blokes you know you aren't playing on the weekend.

I wonder if it's confidence born from knowing he's guaranteed a game for the rest of the season. Would take away the anxiousness of feeling like he's on trial every game.

He and Josh Simpson trained with the WAFL players so neither expected to be named tomorrow.

Josh Mellington played in the match sims with main squad as they were light on for numbers today, but then went back to join the WAFL players at the end.

Sandi sitting on the upstairs balcony with a cup of tea and a biscuit also watching on.

Was heard to call out "Nice tap work chums. Great effort and all." to Clarke and Hannath before returning to his buttered scone and Fin Review.

Well a frustrating week for training watchers this week folks.

Another light run on the track today which suggests that either the boys are a bit sore after two tough consecutive games of football in a row, or they are being managed ahead of a Sunday game and will work hard on the track on Friday.

Either way, Stephen Hill and Hayden Crozier were not sighted today, however Josh Mellington trained well in the forward line, so make of that what you will.

Pav did pool and gym work today, whilst Sandi observed training from the top balcony armed with a short-black, lightly-buttered scone and a copy of the Fin Review.

Watching the WAFL boys train I saw Tanner-Smith take out Viv Mitchie with a hard hip and shoulder that would have killed an ordinary bloke. Viv looked a bit dazed for a second, but then recovered well and resumed the remainder of the session.

Question: Is Viv being prepared for a debut soon I wonder?

The boys all trained in their indigenous round jumpers today and looked good. Josh Simpson was lively again.

Great to see Chris Mayne practicing his goal kicking, not that he usually needs to.

I saw Sonny Walters in the gym with a strapped ankle. He was walking around on it okay and my guess is that he will be back first game after the bye.

Zac Clarke trained really well so he has obviously pulled up well from his first game back.

Yesterday it was Micky Barlow just running laps, today it was Lee Spurr and Luke McPharlin.

Lastly, whist waiting for the traffic to allow me to turn into Freo Oval this morning, I saw gap in the traffic but had to floor it to avoid being T-boned by a 1974 Torana.

As I came flying down the drive way at full speed I nearly slammed into Katy Price and her media team as they were walking out of the ground.

They all dived out of the way as I came screaming through, only to see them in the rear view mirror all shaking and waving their fists at me in disgust as they picked themselves up off the bitumen. I then had to ditch the car under that massive Morton Bay Fig Tree next to the Salim Malik stand and hide behind E-Shed, Gaskin, Irish Docker, Salim Malik, Kenny and Mr and Mrs JMT (and baby) just in case they came looking for me.

Katy if your reading this, sorry about that. I just hope I haven't ruined what looked to be lovely green frock.

P.S. Loved meeting JMT's beautiful new daughter Lily today too.

Well done guys.

HR

Hope Katie didn't have to deploy the fun... erh...airbags.

Many thanks for the reports gang.
