RTB said in his presser that Michie needed more time to work up game day fitness, he also said Silvagni wouldn't want to play any more games like he did last week.

Therefore : Simpson in, and Silvagni keeps his spot (just)!

ARGGGHH I SWEAR IF SIMPSON GETS A GAME BEFORE VIV... I'll actually be furious. Give him a game for Mzungu or something, reward for effort!

I agree, i'd actually be quite annoyed. Token game because its indigenous round............

The only way I can really rationalise it is that it's like for like - someone who can play small, nippy fwd pocket in for another. Because Ross doesn't just gift games until they've been earnt.

Home now, thought I'd add a little more since it's easier than on the mobile..

Talk of D. Pearce still learning the game plan is spot on. During the wing to wing, red bibs vs yellow bibs exercise, RTB stopped mid-play 3 times, twice to pull D. Pearce up on his positioning, and another for Hannath..

Balla's was pulled aside from the main group at one stage for some one on one work, on yep.... collecting ground balls. :thumbsu:

The kicking during the field long circle work was really very good (scoreboard side at least) Clancee's kicking in space is bloody fantastic live.

Mayne, Scos and later Balla's did some high flying work on the marking bag.

Tanner Smith was working on a goal kicking routine similar to Mayne's.

Mayne took a fair few shots 35-40 minimum angle and TBH a few of them were not what we've come to expect from him in the last 18 months.

Simpson did a couple of nice things (one touch/grab) in the match sims, but got caught with indecision at one point when the easy option was a handball over the top.

Not much more to add other than from attending one session this week it looks like being,
OUT: Walters Suban (inj??) IN: Crozier Simpson

Can't see Silvagni being dropped this week.

On the coaches? Suma nailed a torp from outside the boundary line in the pocket, where the exit gate is, and RTB spilled a speccy on the Marking bag.

Hi Dockerz, I decided not to chance training today just in case they were at Subi Oval like the last home game.

How did Crozier look today and was he with the main group?

I take it that Subes has a niggle?

I hope my buddy is not injured. But if he is it means Viv should come in! Can't see Crozier or Simpson replacing Suban's role.

Harry we missed you, Crosier looked fine, didnt sight Suban,Clark trained on his own then joined the match sims,Michie and Taberner only with the WAFL group,Simpson trained with the main group but looked a little overawed,I noticed Johnno having a long talk with him
Mora ran laps with Jesse and Pav was out very early, its all looking great heading into the after bye games

Hey Salim, any idea of the distance or pace that Mora and JC were running?

Was it pounding out a steady 3k or the repeat sprints around the oval?

So if we for instance lost every forward in our forward line - you'd prefer rewarding a mid ahead of a forward? Interesting

I semi corrected myself (you will note) in post #611, where I realised that structure is > individuals being rewarded.

I guess I'm ok with it. Hope Simpson does well if he plays.

I thought you went today. I turned on Fox Sports News as soon as I got home from work and literally the first thing I see is you, Ken, Bluey and someone else I couldn't make out.

How many people train with the main group? The 22 and three or four emergencies? Or more like 30 blokes? Also, what's the difference in intensity or drills like? Negligible?
