Mega Thread TRAINING REPORTS

I hope they don't attempt to fly out on a spiritual plane of existence.

With the level of spiritual existentialism that some on this board possess, (not me), I am certain that our players will enjoy the magic carpet ride and land safely at Adelaide airport with their chakra's revitalised and their crystals thoroughly polished.

Dont forget the RTB Yoga magic

I gotta drive from Ellenbrook. So planned out my trip and went to print directions - printer is out of ink. Stuff it I'll just use my phone.
Walked outside, got heavy rain and wind, thought "Stuff it! I'm going!".
Got in the car and tried to start it.
It wouldn't start :(

Why do the footy gods smite me whiteoak. What can i do to appease them?

Mate you in perth or Adelaide!!! We dare not bear this wet rain today, and anyways most likely no training today as they fly out today.

I'm in Perth. I meant that training in the wet today would be good practice for playing in Adelaide on Saturday as the forecast was meant to be rainy. We rarely get to train in wet conditions and it's a completely different skill set that's needed for it, so getting reminded of it right before a potential wet weather game is a bonus.

So... did they train today? Anyone brave enough to be out there right now? :)

I was very impressed to meet Salim, Harry, Gaskin and JMT at training despite the wind howling through the Salim Malik stand. Bitterly cold and miserable this morning. And I was very excited to have the priviledge of touching Harry's fabled arse chushion! What a day!

I wasn't there long, but I can report that hilly was training well and looking unencumbered.

I'm sure someone else will give more detail.

Just back from training now.

I had to call into Cully's on the way home to get a coffee to thaw out one hand and a sausage roll to thaw out the other.

Terrible conditions down there today folks. 10 degrees, pouring with rain and a howling south-wester making the Salim Malik stand colder than a mother-in-law's kiss.

Irish Docker was spotted all alone and rugged up in the old stand next door, so it must have been warmer over there.

Highlights today was watching Hilly complete a full training session in the rain, so he should be on the plane this afternoon.

I think that Cam Sutcliffe will be the one to make way for him though, because I saw him with the WAFL group at one stage today.

I personally would have thought that either Subes or Crozier would have been the one to miss out for Hilly.

Anyway,Mora did some of the group training session today, but then ran raps for the rest of the session. He is moving very well and can't be too far away from a WAFL game.

Lee Spurr just seems to run laps each Thursday now and never trains with the main group it seems.

I spotted Sonny Walters heading down to South's gym below the old stand today. His ankle was strapped, however he seemed to be walking okay on it.

No sign of Pav or Sandi today and I counted 31 players on the track, whilst Salim counted 37.
I think he included the seagulls and training staff though.

Jesse Crichton was spotted in the gym.

Finally, today was all about wet weather skills and nothing more.

Of course not:)

There are other arses whom would have a higher priority - Naomi Watts, JLH, Miranda Kerr...:rainbow:

I cannot let my mind meander upon the pleasures of the flesh.

I am far too focused on the upcoming training reports.

I chanted for 57 minutes straight last night for the swift return of Stephen Hill.

Was his arse on it at the time? :D

Have a :rainbow:

Harry lifted his esteemed arse off the cushion before offering me a glimpse of the signature of our Lord's second son, The Lake Grace Marvel. I did try to touch the area not imprinted by Harry's arse, but I can't guarantee that my actions were completely heterosexual as my finger may have brushed up against a section of the cushion that was previously in contact with the aforementioned arse.

Mmmmm Miranda Kerr....... :rainbow: :rainbow: :rainbow:

Mora's knee was heavily strapped. But he was running laps well and is a beast of a unit.

Skills were very poor but the conditions were miserable.

Walters walked past me wearing an ankle brace and limping slightly.

Silvagni was really struggling with his fitness test at the end. He was visibly frustrated.

Spurr ran laps for half the session and was talking to the club doctor and a few others in a meeting at the end.

Absent were Pav, Sandi, Crichton, Walters and Neale.

To add to what Harry said, Sandi came out of the old gym under the stand looking ok. He was walking fine. Mora done some running with the WAFL boys at the end so I'm hoping he isn't too far away from WAFL. Seppo's man crush was the last one to leave the track doing quite a bit of extra work.

It was good to see Ghost Pig, pavsbootlace and Wiggarus down there today.

"Mah homies call me Mora
Let me hear y'all holla
I get that Cristal poppin'
And let the cobblers do the cobblin'
I give great effort to mah b**ches
Hey boo, watch those stitches"

EFA! My grammar is not perfect but noticed this a few times. Appreciate all the reports as usual.

So, bumped into Salim, Harry, Gask, Jedi and Wig at training earlier, missed Bootlace by minutes and Yak, presumedely spying solo.

Not much to add beyond that already reported, but to say the WAFL group running end to ends, after the main group departed, consisted of Simpson, Michie, Moller, Howson, Forster, Faulks, Duffy, Mellington, Schloithe and Mora, read into this what you will.

Silvagni was hopping on one leg through a drill designed to test his rolled ankle, under the watchful eye of what looked like the entire sports medicine staff, maybe more than one out if we are going like for like...

Sandi spotted leaving the gym after a boxing session.

I noted that Moller and Simpson are bulking up nicely, compared to the last training I attended in the pre.

On a final note, my heart skips a beat every time I see Mora on the track, if ever there was a mind steeled for the contest it must be his, he is an intimidating man, maybe whiteoak can do something useful with his newfound zeal and ply the powers that be with offerings in exchange for a supernatural knee for our beloved Emperor.

Big props to those who attended, it was damn near cold as ****!

Silvagni was really struggling with his fitness test at the end. He was visibly frustrated.

Interesting. Was Taberner training with the main group at all? Will be intrigued to see if we leave out Silvagni for another runner. Maybe Sutcliffe will get a reprieve instead of making room for Hill.

As always, thanks for the reports. So if Silvagni doesn't get up does that mean Taberner will play?

Did he train with the AFL players?

I am looking forward to cheering the players on Saturday from the Members. (The sound of one man clapping :) )

Taberner completed the whole session with the main group. He looks a great prospect but i'm not sure sure if the wet weather will suit him. It might do, but it might not. Either way he is still ver raw But beggars can't be choosers.
