Any chance of anyone getting down there for a report and/or some pics?

Casey Fields - Friday 10th December - 4:00pm
(160 Berwick - Cranbourne Road)

I know it's lame as all hell me getting on here and asking this, but I love hearing training reports in the pre-season and I have absolutely zero opportunity to get down there.

Come on, I know some of you lads are under-grads with nothing better to do on your Friday afternoons in December... :p

Has your girlfriend dumped you? You go through girls pretty quick, the 1st one was a kung fu fighter or something and I can't remember what the most recent one was.

I got down to Casey last night. I was impressed with the intensity. There is definitely a great feeling amongst the group, which is not uncommon a this time of year.

Just a couple of observations:
-I was impressed with how vocal Flash was. He was obviously short of a gallop as he struggled in the running (coming back from broken leg), but he was the player I could hear above all others in the repeat effort sprints.

-Bail and Gysberts are definitely injured. They walked laps all night. Gysberts had a compression bandage on his right leg.

-Of the new players, Dan Nicholson impressed me the most. He has a beautiful left foot and moves well.
-When they broke up into their groups of backs, mids and forwards, Michael Evans and Cam Johnston were with the onballers and they held their own at the stoppages, particularly Evans, who found a lot of the footy.

-Robbie Campbell moved well in the warm up, but spent most of the night in the rooms on a X-Trainer. I wouldn't worry about this as I assume it was to do with is loading.

-Sylvia, Jurrah, Tommy McNamara and Taps all worked seperately from the main group. They all moved well and worked fairly hard. Again, I assumed it must have had someting to do with their loading.

-It was a long 2 hour session done at high intensity. The boys were knackered afterwards.

-Stefan Martin had the yellow jersey on for trainer of the week. Hopefully the penny has dropped for the big fella and he finds the urgency required to play at this level. I hope this rubs off on Jack Watts as he really does seem laconic on the track and seems to go at everyting at about 75%. If I was Bails, I would have someone follow Killer around at training to clip him across whenever the ball was in the vicinity to fire him up.

-Ricky Petterd is certainly the class clown of the group. He was always stirring blokes up and having a laugh. We have done well with our sponsorship selection boys!

If you have any questions lads, fire away.
