Agree, Clarko will certainly be planning for how we best cover his deficiencies. From a game management perspective I think we'll see him resting forward more often. It's easy to forget what a great mark and excellent kick for goal he is. Hopefully with some better ball movement we can use that to our advantage. The prospect pf Sheezel hitting Cunners with a laser bullet is quite tantalising.
Maybe give him extra time to get his fitness up? Plan to start him in round 5 or 6? It shortens the season for him too.Yes, but we also don’t want to be doing his reputation a disservice by playing him if he’s not up to it physically either.
I think it’s going to be one of the most challenging situations of Clarko’s first year.
Cunners has never looked like Majak at any point of his career, but to get back to even the shape he was in 3 years ago will take a flogging on the track of epic proportions. I dunno if anyone wants to do that to him at this stage of his career and I don’t think he’s been that type of trainer at any point in his career either.
You never write off a champ like him, but people shouldn’t be having him in any meaningful long term plans imo.
Anything we get out of him this year is an absolute bonus.
He's signed for 2 more years. I don't think anyone is expecting him to get back to his absolute best, but I think we hold tight and be hopeful of where he lands after a preseason.Yes, but we also don’t want to be doing his reputation a disservice by playing him if he’s not up to it physically either.

Cunners has never looked like Majak but he's been our best player for the past five years. He will be fine - speed has never been his main weapon. His ability to read the play at the drop of a ball and feed it out to the runners is his game.Yes, but we also don’t want to be doing his reputation a disservice by playing him if he’s not up to it physically either.

Except for Sydney who can have 13 regardless of what club the father played for. When Arch, Scott and Harvey are dominating, the AFL will change the father and son rule so you are only ever allowed 2 on a list at once.
He's built like a Tongan. Just wide and muscular.PC is bloody solid for a second year player
Imagine that knocking on your door and saying:To look that solid - AT 202CM! Far out.
Friday afternoon drill - get the ball off Monky.

Its no wonder that this century Islanders have gone from making up a percent or two in the NRL to nearly half the players.
Phillips physique wise is looking GAJ-esque......and GAS-esque hairdo wise from that angle.
Sorry. But that's the way this game goes. Buckleup buckaroo.I’ve been burnt every pre season for the last 15 years.
I can’t do this again.
Rookie spot?
