heard a lot today, majority positive.
Loving the rules which they will live by. On and off field.

Stevo back to the fwd line. Not sure how we fit them all in.

Powell is in a great place

Comben has everyone talking amd so has Sheezel.

One of our fittest said he’s never worked this hard.

Howe amd Shiels leading the way on the track.

Al Clarko very happy with how it’s panning out.
Can you ask what the plan for the warlord is when you get a chance.

Please and thank you

Wap?

No breaks 🤝🏼

I truly do not recall a bunch of young players at North putting in so much extra work this early. The benefit of drafting for character I suppose.
I’d like wilphi to take a break - he’s been going since aug/sept.
Don’t want him to get any stress related injuries from over doing it

Where will Powell most likely fit into the side? Midfield minutes? Or looking like a wing/flank?

This is all great news to hear I am so excited for next year and I think Ben McKay will resign very soon just a feeling

I suspect trying to fight Glandular Fever and the related carry on has made him an expert at listening to his body, so I wouldn't be too concerned.

And yet wasnt replaced for 22 games?
It was odd he didn't breach the top 10 with that many games tbh. I suspect his game tally had as much to do with what he did off field, plus his versatility.

Throw some weight onto those shoulders and stick an extra tackle or two a game (preferably those great flying attempts) as well as increased contested ability and he'll be golden.

al Clarko knows we’ve lost our way over the last few years but we’re back on track

Am sure other players will come up in conversation after they all return to the track In the new year.

It is all about being the very best version of yourself.

And as I said I had a feeling not everyone will be up for this challenge. And that may well be a young Tassie fella who is finding the going tough

Time is on his side of course

Wouldn't go that far Big Benny but am always struck at how highly rated he is on here.

His game is a disparate set of isolated strengths to me still. The biggest TBC on him is what role he can consistently play in an improving team.

He has a lot of mid-forward competition, TBC as a "win his position" winger, not built for inside roles and not aware of him being tried defensively.

He's a good height for a utility, has heart, good marking and pretty decent kicking. There are qualities there I just struggle where to place him in a projected successful NMFC side.
It's weird, when I watched him come through the VFL he had X factor in spades. Now he seems exactly as you describe. Needs to hit the gym properly, that's the only future I can see for him.

I was going to ask what fell outside “majority positive”….

We had very few players who can run all day on a wing.

We now have more.

I simply don’t rate him as a long term player.

He’s 22 and still built like a 12 year old.

Any further comments on the young Tassie fella? Does he look uninterested, resentful?

Yep, he is as professional as any player we have had in the last 20 years. He will be doing all the ice baths, warm down exercises, check ins with physios and medicos. If there is something niggling, I don’t think he is going to risk pushing himself.

Season 6 What GIF by The Office

Played 22 matches but he's not rated highly by the club?
CT was an average player in a shit side - if he is an every week player next year we have not progressed much at all OR we have suffered another bad injury run.

He is the sort of 2022 player we need to move on if we are to get better as a team.

Or he's improved with another preseason under his belt 🤷‍♂️
