Training Training Thread 2023

I have zero faith, but it isn't important if I have faith or not. He just has to work hard and it isn't obvious from the outside looking in that he has put any effort into preparing himself to be an elite footballer and success just isn't going to come if you do not work hard at ir, regardless what potential or what talent you have.

If Clarkson can't turn him into a useful footballer than nobody can, what he has to address is his mindset and prepare him to compete in a sport where everyone out there is doing everything in their power to be the best they can be at a physical level.
It will be interesting. Like you I don’t have faith in a few, but this will be the first time our players as well as our recruits will be coached by a really good coach.

Bit unfair on the kid. I know he’s become the new whipping boy in these parts but was one of the guys doing all the extras on the track preseason last year. Sincerely hope he surprises us (me included).

Oh all tongue in cheek really. Of course I hope he has a great year in 2023. We will find out a lot about our players under the guidance of al clarko. Not Jack's fault he kept getting selected when clearly out of form.
Noble is or was a nutter.

Rye footy ground just a few moments ago. If your zoomer is clearer than mine, you’ll be able to make out LDU on the other side of the ground ….. well, a small billboard of him 🤣🤔🤷‍♂️🤣

Sorry to all my fellow posters on last night.

Mods in particular for any scares (I'm fine now)

Looking forward to more pre-season reports in future!

A fit and young talented squad sounds great to me!

Still no spicer or Mahony rocking up early
Or cunners

Imo the 3 that need to the most for varying reasons
Cunners reeling in 50kg tuna off the coast of Portland 8 hours a day.

Harder than any 100 X 100 he'd be doing down at Arden St.

Just coz they are not at the oval don’t mean they are not training could be training harder somewhere else
Don’t you know that if the training isn’t posted on social media then they aren’t doing it?

I’d rather cunners at Arden st trying to set an example that a senior player is returning early.

Like jack has done and jy and Hugh and Luke and Kayne etc

Especially after having limited training and being around the group for the last year for obvious reasons

Maybe his body needs the rest.

Maybe
But He also never comes back early to training any other year

His fitness base has never improved and would be at an all time low
Not sure he has the body type for endurance. Think he may have peaked in that category. Also doing more doesn’t always equal getting results.

Getting in the right head space, doing his program and diet are probably more important for Cunners than getting into the club early.

Those ‘obvious reasons’ are exactly why you should get off his f***en back mate.
