Is this photo playing tricks? Tommy looks like a very small human compared to Greenhead.

Surprised this lever wasn’t pulled during the last season through the dark times with Noble.I think this is in the ballpark. Wouldn't be surprised to see Jack to go back to the midfield with clear instruction to "clear the path".
That time is nearly 2 minutes slower than his best 1500m times tho.Olli Hollands is described as a running machine and ready to destroy an AFL preseason. He ran a 5:54 2km at the combine
Sheezel finished basically on par with him in preseason testing and he’s at this stage a permanent forward.
Hopefully it puts it into perspective his work rate and why he gets so much of the ball as a permanent forward.
Also might illustrate how a guy can play one game in the middle for the year and notch up 37 touches.
Massive massive engine.
To put that in perspective Blicavs PB over 2km at the Cats is 5:39 and he missed Olympic qualifying for the 1500m by 6 seconds.
Powell is 7cm shorter and has his feet on the ground while Greenwood is at a higher point in stride. Probably another 5-7 cm because of that. That's about 6 inches in height. Is this photo playing tricks? Tommy looks like a very small human compared to Greenhead.

It's one of the many strange Noble moves. I think Clarkson has to look at Ziebell's form from last year and decide that it's either backline, midfielder, or VFL for him. People may not like his form in those positions, but up forward he was just about the worst senior player in the AFL last year.
Outside of his round 19, 17 and 4 games that he'd be happy with, he averaged 10.8 disposals and .5 goals in his other 13 games up forward. Turning 32 next year I'm not sure those numbers are getting any prettier.
He may not play round 1. I personally think he will play some senior footy, have a couple spells in the vfl and pull up stumps at years end. I don't think there will be some grand plan to put him to pasture early, if he is good enough he will play. Tipping that won't be every week though. That's again why I suspect Clarkson, who has shown a liking for "role players" in the past (aka hit men) will use Jack as a battering ram in the midfield and maybe a little bit up forward. It's hard to imagine him using Jack for any more critical roles like intercepting backman or 2nd/3rd forward.
There is also a chance Jack becomes a Malcolm Blight style statement and is pushed to the VFL after beng unable to fire in a 2023 senior spot as you suggest. But I don't think that rein would be pulled until 5+ weeks into the season largely out of respect.
We are still the skinniest team in the AFL i think. I suppose its not everything (athleticism, speed, endurance etc) but as ive said before the physical intimidation is something we should at least increase going forward
Taylor has the deadly combination of lack of strength plus lack of athleticism.I could handle being skinny if we were lightning fast and agile, but we are not.

TP looks like he's about to do an ankle on that stride. One of those "Moments before disaster" pictures.

Yeah a 6min 2km isn't that fast when we're talking about someone aspiring to be an elite runner. That time is nearly 2 minutes slower than his best 1500m times tho.

A 3.43 1500m is pretty respectable though.
say what?Taylor has the deadly combination of lack of strength plus lack of athleticism.

They both look in awesome nick, I can’t wait what they look like in march after AC has driven them into the ground.
Hugh looks very lean. He may surprise a few with how much game time he plays in ‘23.
Yeah, what a slouch.LOL its *en flying.
But ... its under 75 seconds for each 500m. Then to cruise in at 5.39 for 2km that last 500m takes over 110 seconds, nearly 120. I think Blicavs should have a 2km time close to 5:20 or 5:15 or else he's bludging.
Agility, acceleration, strength are all below average.say what?
sure, he could bulk up, but curtis has both sat on heads and runs himself into the ground each and every week. athleticism certainly isn't an issue with him
Curtis Taylor was one of our very few players who was running 15km week in week out last year.Dunno about this...he's definatly athletic. Extremely competitive, just hasn't got a defined role as yet. If he had one role to concentrate on he'd blossom.
