Thought Drury and TT linked up well at times. It may be a sign of the future.
2-3 passages where they passed to each other out of defence, both with consecutive 25m low hard accurate kicks that beat the defensive zone.
Thought Goater was generally quiet compared to last week.
Will was quieter than last week as he was playing fourth banana to LDU, Simpkin, Cunners in the first half, I thought at the time he should have played in the yellow side, so it's good to read they swapped him at the half.
Paul Curtis has an absolutely massive ceiling, as big as TT and Goaters imo. He looked like a Rolls Royce clearing the ball cleanly out of the center bounces. Can already tell he's one of Clarko's favourites.
Speaking of Rolls Royces, LDU was absolutely imperious, I've always thought over the last 15 years or so what some of our sessions would look like if we dropped a Judd or Danger into them, well we know now. Simpkin and Cunners are good footballers and they looked like local footy players in comparison today. He's going to notch wins on his own this year.
Drury did well on Zurhaar, bull had his moments in attack, but he spread off him well. Quieter than last week, but still very influential.
Sheez is a really solidly built first year footballer. He impacted the contest a few times, stood up in tackles, went in hard and mixed with his class and engine, he's a quality package. Still coming to terms with the speed of the game at times in transition.
Comben was much better than last week, presented well and got rewarded.
Thought Xerri had the better of Goldy at times in the ruck.
CCJ did one good thing, then a fluffed kick or a missed shot followed. Took a big contested mark over JZ a few guys were vocal about.
Cooper had a much better afternoon, had a few nice touches in transition and cracked in hard. He's going to be an interesting player to watch in a few years.
Thought Lienert did fairly well on Larkey, for the second week in a row. We could do a lot worse than having him on our rookie list especially as Corr is in the rehab group again tbh.
Our bottom 4-5 are extremely luck to be on AFL lists, absolutely miles off it and if we are being honest, probably aren't even good VFL level players atm.
Most of the VFL guys look more than decent, big improvement on previous years.
Corr, Steevo, Wardlaw, Logue, McDonald, Hall, Spicer, Tucker all missing from what I could see from my side of the ground.
