Shiels was talked about as a potential captain before Mitchell took over at Hawthorn. The leadership he will bring onfield will be invaluable.

I just hope we are competitive. On paper, I feel that the dogs have on of the best lists going around. Footscray fans would be pissed if they let another year slip away to underperforming.

Their talls depth is scary. It’s like the inverse of our list. If we get within 30, that will be a win.

They were my flag tip, but I kind of forgot about Brisbane.
I think it’s either of those guys or Melbourne, but whomever plays the Dees beats them in the GF.

Brisbane and Western Bulldogs both have very good midfields and forwardlines. I don't think either team has a top 4 standard defensive squad.

Melbourne and Geelong still have them covered defensively.

Final stats from Friday’s game against the Tigers. I’m very comfortable with the accuracy of these stats, except for a few occasions on the broadcast where the play on the boundary line was obscured by that bloody pole.

Hoping LDU cleans up his play a bit building in to the real stuff. Turnovers and a little sloppy with disposal, caught a fair few times also. Can’t wait to see him explode this year though, love his confidence.

He tapered off a bit but gee it was an exciting start.
