My list is pretty similar.

To me these are guys most likely to become senior regulars next year. Hopefully a couple of them do:

West, HH, Reef, Parker, Steele and Allan.

Hayes is the kid I really like though.
Yeah Hayes, I'm interested to see if he will have put on some meat to those bones by preseason

HH & West for me. Both have plenty of ability & improvement should come from both.
Reef I hope will become a decent defender rather than I expect it. Just not sold yet. Would be chuffed to be wrong.
Will Reef & HH be ready to join in all football drills & running sessions from the first day of preseason?
They should be able to, I imagine. HH was basically in full training in prelim week
By first week of training, Reef would be 9 months post ACL at that point. Seems to be travelling well and hasn't had any setback from what I can gather.

I’m almost afraid to ask - but Reef looks to have put on very considerable bulk or (gulp) muscle.

Is that a good or bad thing for his position playing in defence, and the way we play defence?

In all the disappointment of how our season petered out, our defence was still remarkably good.

I think its a good thing, I'm no expert though. But him adding on strength can only be a good thing for his position, where he can compete alot more physically, as long as he doesn't lose his athleticism.

Does anyone know when the first of the training starts feeling it towards the end of November.
For now all needed surgery is been done now and rehabing.
Along with players on nice annual holidays.
Thinking its 4-5 weeks to get back into it

November 24 should be.

That's just for the kiddies innit?
yeah, but generally you'll find a good amount of seniors that do participate with the young ones. Or drift in and out.

When did he play midfield?
The guy averages less than 4 kicks per game.
He was touted as a big- bodied midfielder when we first recruited him. Then they said he needed to build his tank. That was a few years back now.

POSITION: Inside Midfielder

DRAFT ANALYSIS: “McInnes is a strong inside midfielder with great athletic capabilities and tied to Collingwood through the Next-Generation Academy.” – Peter Williams

Reef McInnes is a big-bodied inside midfielder who is tied to Collingwood through the Next Generation Academy and one that Pies fans have been talking about for 12 months. Whilst he will naturally progress through to become that inside midfielder – he has all the traits to do so – McInnes spent the majority of his bottom-age year as either a marking forward or rebounding defender, showing off his versatility. It is no surprise he could slot into just about any role and is one that is tipped to cost the Pies a top 30 pick.

The thing is he hasn't played there. That was the 2020 covid draft and he didn't get the opportunity to progress into the midfield for his final year of under 18s like he was expected to. And he hasn't played midfield in his 5 years with us - except for some short rotations in the VFL. He isn't a mid, despite opinions of what he would become based on when he was 17.

Like it when they just start to getting back to pre xmas training and seeing them all back again and the time when the early fixtures come out and memberships for the clubs are available to buy
just after the draft
like the real feeling of starting to gear up for another season

Will Hayes
Charlie
Joel,
Harvey
Oscar
Iliro
Reef
Noah if he's still with us.
Yeah, all of them

I expect improvement from?

McInnis,
West
Macrae
Houston

I expect to be role players around the level we've seen them play:

Harrison
Steele

Yeah i know Houston isn't young. He just better get it together.

Yeah yeah, I know Macrae is delisted. He'll still get better. 😂

Is that you spinny?

Mason Cox was a surprise attendee at Collingwood this morning training alongside a group of Pies, who hit the track despite not being required back yet.
New recruit Jack Buller took to the field alongside veterans in Jeremy Howe, Steele Sidebottom, Dan McStay and Darcy Cameron in the makeshift session.

Roan Steele, Ed Allan and Pat Lipinski were also in attendance.

Cox was delisted by the Pies weeks ago but joined in with his former teammates who went through running drills, with mid-season draftee Steele leading the way.

The American big man is hopeful of finding a new home with Fremantle reportedly interested in adding him as ruck support for Luke Jackson and Sean Darcy.

The session at the Pies started light with the group smiling and laughing as Jeremy Howe’s son Zander ran alongside them.

It happens.

I like the list of players in attendance. Those listed include players who were injured or played injured. I hope this is a good sign for 2026.

Long as not a Offical pre-season training any player can train who ever and where ever they want

correct.
You find players across different clubs training together. Its not unusual.
