Other clubs also don't generate the engagement Collingwood does. One downside to our great fans reporting on training - makes it very easy for the journos and their injury reports
Would be similar injuries at other clubs not rating a mention in the media
There's been plenty of injuries at other clubs. We've only had minor injuries thankfullyOther clubs also don't generate the engagement Collingwood does.

Nick D…..oh wait onSo at this point, who ISN’T injured??
Most of the list.So at this point, who ISN’T injured??
So if he has endured it, does this mean is has already over it?FFS!!

I was reading something the other day where a few footy strength & conditioning coaches said the first week back after the Xmas break seems to be where most pre-season injuries occur, particularly lower limbs. Is this anyway linked to players having such a big break in the off season?
The AFLPA has a fair bit to answer for.
Thank you to Jen, City Slicker and Sea-Fog (and others) for your reports ( let alone commitment). I really enjoy the reports.
individual assessments
Sadly granniewolf, I share a similar view. Would love to be wrong though. With Bobby's leave of absence open ended with no fixed date for return, it can't be taken for granted that Bobby will play, much as we want him back.

No clue. Maybe the younger ones get more specific programs & areas to work on.Do the players still get work out programs for them to complete while away from the club?
Or is that a no no now a days?
McCreery would be recovery from his foot surgery, wouldn't it?Let’s see if I have this right

Howe
Houston
Hill ( I know )
Moore
McCreery
McStay
Daicos x2 coming off something
All soft tissues?
It’s not the minor injuries that worry me, just the delay in training and conditioning leading up to the Saints
Majority are short term and will have over a month to get ready for the Saints. Most were also training before Xmas and over the break so could be A LOT worse.Let’s see if I have this right

Players from all clubs have had pre-season injuries. It's not restricted to Collingwood.I wonder if the number of injuries is related to the fact that we need to start our season earlier than most and they are pushing the players to be fit enough as such as early stage in the year...? By ramping up the program so quickly they are inadvertently triggering these injury niggles..?? I have a lot of respect for Wade and the fitness team and I am sure they will quickly re-calibrate the training loads, recovery time etc etc so we are ready when needed.
Yes, you are right... I have just seen the list of injuries across the league (that are confirmed) and are clubs racing against the clock given practice matches commence in late February which are a mere 5 weeks away?Players from all clubs have had pre-season injuries. Seems to be a fairly common occurrence in the week back after the Xmas break.Yes, you are right... I have just seen the list of injuries across the league (that are confirmed) and are clubs racing against the clock given practice matches commence in late February which are a mere 5 weeks away?
The season will be on us really quickly.
