He won't be going back to Italy anytime soon. He needs time. He's been at Liverpool for 3 months. Liverpool also have a number of new players trying to integrate with each other. Plus he hasn't had any meaningful time partnering Sturridge. All of this needs time.

Dont think we will do much in January, Woodward said that unless one of our targets is available we wont get any short term fixes. Our main targets for the end of year window are probably Strootman, Godin/Hummels, a rb( maybe Clyne?) and Reus or Depay.

If he isn't performing with Sturridge fit yes he will be sold. Same thing happened with Robbie Keane who was also signed against the wishes of Rafa at the time.
