Bit of a different situation when it is a keeper. Top class keepers want to play every week and we aren't a rival to Chelsea. He also let Mata join Utd. I'd be disappointed if FSG didn't aggressively pursue Cech with Mignolet not being good enough .

I'd imagine if Cech wants first team football Mourinho wouldn't stand in his way and prevent him from leaving. If he's happy being a reserve keeper he won't be going anywhere.

If Cech wants to leave I'd rate us a good chance of signing him.

You can never say never but Cech said a couple of weeks ago he's not leaving in January, his manager said this week he's not leaving and Mou has already said he's not for sale this winter. I really can't see it happening myself.

I reckon he would love to go out a winner, even if that's just as a squad member.

FSG would be crazy to give Rodgers more money considering how well his transfers through the past three seasons have been.

So unless we get on an outstanding run through December id be surprised to see much action.

Both the Mirror & Telegraph are saying that LVG has been given £150m to spend over the next 2 windows. It would be closer to 110m if United exercise their option on Falcao. Should be enough to get another DM, a full back and a centre half. If we don't sign a Falcao then that frees up 42m for a striker. Mark Ogden from the Telegraph is well connected at OT, he broke the SAF retirement story 1st. Woodward is a bit of an egomaniac and he wants to setup a Real Madrid style Gaalacticos. I'm fine with this as long as United continue to promote from the youth academy.
