Any idea how that would rate amongst Liverpool's highest earners?

Below Glen F*cking Johnson.

Edit: Most of our contracts are incentive based these days, it's only the players like Glen Johnson who signed their current deals pre-FSG who retain the rigid high base wage type contracts. The only players with base wages higher than Sterling's new deal are Sturridge, Gerrard (both around £130-140k/week) & Johnson (just over £100k/week), though a few others could be earning over £100k/week once those performance based incentives are added on.

Would Madrid sell Varane? Seems odd considering he just signed a contract but TalkSport are reporting they want £20,000,000 for him with Chelsea and Man United interested.

Hugo Lloris to Real Madrid for £25,000,000 also growing some legs.

Would rather Varane to Hummels. Both would be great though.

Talk sport is not reliable at all.

They're paying 3 million for their own player who has scored 3 goals in the French league (2 of which were penalties).

Not great business.

Well, he's not their own player... that's why they need to pay the 3m.

20k people signed an online petition to dissuade the signing of Evans. The saga continues.
Probably worth mentioning that the majority of people that signed that won't have been Oldham supporters or even football supporters. It was organised by someone from london that describes herself as a radical feminist. She has never been to Oldham by all accounts, and seems to have taken Evans on as her political cause starting up several petitions since his release.

Oldham hired Lee Hughes after his release from prison for causing death by dangerous driving so they have some sort of experience coping with a backlash (although the Hughes backlash was pretty much non existent compared to this one).

Sports Direct have told them they won't withdraw their sponsorship if he plays, also Evans' father-in-law looks to be putting money in to get him back into football.

They are saying he'll earn £400 a week plus appearance fees.

Thanks. I always get the feeling I don't get the right picture.

He is though.
Liverpool not paying his wages and having no control over him unless they pay a further instalment suggests otherwise.

With Liverpool and Origi you have to look at it pretty much the same as paying a £3m fee to loan him for 5 months. You probably wouldn't do that based on his form and current ability.

But if he's in a negative environment, which by all accounts he is, you might pay that just to remove him from that environment. One option could be to pay the fee, and then see what sort of fee you could get by loaning him out somewhere else for 5 months.

Kramaric expected in London today: he’ll join Leicester City in collaboration with Chelsea

whatever that means

probably should've read the article

Andrej Kramaric is ready to start the next chapter of his career in England. The Croatian striker will eventually join Mourinho at Chelsea, but his first stop will be at Leicester City Football Club. There are bureaucratic reason tied to the rules in England that make it necessary for Kramaric to go to Leicester City first, but the deal has been reached. Today the 23 year old striker will be in London with his agent Cavaliere: he'll sign with Leicester City by Tuesday afternoon or Wednesday morning, his medical is scheduled tomorrow. Leicester City will acquire Chelsea in collaboration with Chelsea: the two clubs already have an agreement for the future transfer of Kramaric to the Blues.

Sounds like Oldham have backed out of the Evans deal. So the dole it is for him from the looks, he won't be allowed to play in the country, he's not allowed to leave the country under the terms of his licence.
