Negredo was on loan, he's not there anymore, and that parachute money generally only covers the wage bill.

Yep, and our wage bill is around about 40-50m after relegation, I suspect their's would be similar.

Well considering the shit that went on when we hired PDC due to his "beliefs", I do expect a vast number of Sunderland fans getting fairly outraged if we got taken over by oil money.

I don't think anyone has an issue with their club being successful. But blindly sticking your hand out for cash irregardless of where it comes from is a bit whorish. When our owners actually tried to pretend to be good owners and spent on the team plenty still didn't like them because of their background.

Apparently we're closing up a deal for Jason Steele from Blackburn. Mooch thoughts? Also being linked with Ross The Boss from Villa.

Seeing us sign those two has dampened the blow of Lewis Grabban somewhat.

Always thought Jason Steele was a decent keeper. Not necessarily A-grade but decent. He'll do a job in the Championship. I think he had to move away from Boro to prove himself really.

Been a long time since Barca bought kids through. And as the old guard leave they're not going to be replaced by kids. They'll be replaced by signings.

It was a great era for them but they're a different club now.

Rossell was/is a disaster for them.

They're still buying/developing youf though and most of their youf signings/promotions are in defence or midfield, the only position they look for the now is upfront hence buying guys like Eto'o, Zlatan, Henry, Villa, Neymar, Suarez etc who can smash the goals in.

Your mate Denis Suarez has developed into a solid enough player for them and I seen they just bought Semedo, so that's right back (Alves replacement) sorted for them too. They bought Umtiti last year and they see something in Deulofeu still.

They'll be just fine through this rebuild on the run phase, CR7 can't keep on going for RM even though his longevity has been amazing, he's 32 now.
