The difference is PSG's owners are involved in the slave trade paying foreign workers a pittance, giving them no rights and forcing them to live in squalid conditions. At least your owners aren't guilty of that sort of behaviour.
the glazers are campaigners but yeah they arent that. it really is terrible

It would not be used on that anyway. The players are more likely to put back into poor communities than club owners.
yeah i get that. im not rich so i dont think like a rich person but all these people with billions of $ you think they would do something to help the living conditions of people less fortunate. anyway not the thread for this

Alderweireld doing a Sanchez/Ozil and refusing to sign a new deal.

Obviously won't happen but he'd be an instant upgrade on Lovren.

Difference is his deal expires in 2019 or 2020, wants parity with the club top earners (fair enough and deserved) and has a release clause active for 25m if we choose to take the option is his contract for an additional year. Club as you'd expect want that clause removed. Regardless, absolutely nothing will happen this summer.

The headline from the last couple of days is mere sensationalism. Asked if there was any news on a new deal and answered 'No news that I know of so nothing – zero.’

FWIW I reckon Neymar will stay at Barca.

It seems that way. L'equipe are reporting that PSG are now trying to negotiate a lower fee so Neymar doesn't need to pay the release clause himself thus avoiding tax / FFP implications. Barca are supposedly not prepared to negotiate a transfer at any price. Would explain why Barca are pissed with PSG agreeing a release clause then going back on their word.

It just seems a difficult transfer to make happen and for me it is for the good of the game that deals like this don't happen.

It's weird that the big EPL clubs keep doing business. Like if Chelsea wanted rid of Matic, bizarre to sell him to United. They have priors though with Mata.
If they refuse United might go after a better midfielder like Fabinho. And Chelsea are left with a player that woildnt be in their best XI and no £50m.

Matic is a good signing, cost a little bit more than he is worth but that's the English to English club tax, integral part of two title winning teams in the last few years, so will bring excellent experience, a good Mou player and signing, we needed a defensive shield and we got one. I didn't realise he played so many times last season, 40 appearances so it's not like he has been rotting away.

Apparently Tinder are in talks with United in a 12m pounds a year deal to be our sleeve sponsor. Classic.

Interesting that Kante had 41 and Fabregas had 37. All pretty even in terms of number of appearances.

Good team rotations.

i personally hate how much transfer fees have gone up and how big player wages are these days. so many people live in poverty and dont have basic human rights and instead of using said money to improve shit its pissed away for some bloke to kick a ball around.

and yes i feel the same way about my club spending hundreds of millions as well
You're not alone here.

Perisic waits another year he, better clubs than manu will com knocking

Liverpool should try to sign him this summer. You can't keep selling your best players without signing quality replacements every summer. I reckon Perisic would be up for the move and Inter will like the fee Liverpool can offer. Liverpool get some quality in the side and Inter get a mammoth fee. Win-win for both parties.
