Christensen, Brown, Baker, Baba Rahman, Traore, Abraham and Kalas all spring to mind pretty much immediately.

Baba is recovering from an ACL and will miss half the season as he'll be at Chelsea doing rehab. I'd be happy for him to hang around and battle with Alonso for the LWB spot.

Brown looks like staying at Hudd which is great news as it'd be silly to stick him on the bench when he could be starting in the Prem somewhere. Same with Tammy and by the sounds of it Baker.

Traore doesnt want to be a squad player and battle for a spot so he's being sold. Not much we can do there.

Kalas seems to be at the right level.

Christensen should start over Luiz if anyone at Chelsea has sense. Brown and Baker would at least be quality bench options if anything (both would start in most PL sides as it is). Baba Rahman is on par with Alonso right now and he'll probably get better as he gets older. And after the season Traore has had with Ajax, he'd probably get a game for just about any club in Europe.



No he isn't. If anyone watches the Championship it's obvious he's a class above most defenders.

You know Baba Rahman hasn't played since Jan because he did his ACL, yeah? He's not even close to playing football, let alone breaking into the Chelsea side. And even when he was playing at Schalke he wasn't always first choice. When he played for us he was awful. Mourinho kept choosing to play Ivanovic on the right and Azpi out of position because that's how bad Rahman was. He had one decent game against PSG but the rest were abysmal. Why do you think we pissed him off so quickly? Alonso is twice the player he is. We would also lose a lot of height in our side if we were to replace Alonso with Baba. And we need height, because Kante is one our CMs and Azpillicueta is one of our CBs.

And Traore? He has gone backwards at Ajax. Anyone who regularly watches Dutch football will tell you he isn't half the player he was under Bosz at Vitesse. It was only March when he came under criticism by Endt. He was a massive let down at Ajax but his time will be remembered more fondly than it should because he played some decent football towards the end of the season. I'm guessing that's when you tuned in. When he was here he was serviceable at best. An OK option to have coming off the bench but nothing more than that. He's a good finisher but his all round game is lacking. Questionable attitude as well. But he'd get a game in most teams in Europe? Give me a break. He's off to Lyon for a reason.

Why on earth would we start playing an unproven 21 year old over one of the best performed CBs of last season? You obviously did not watch one Chelsea game last season if you're calling for Luiz's head. He was massive and your opinion on him is dated. He was vital to our system and we would not have won the league without him. If AC is coming in for anyone, it's Cahill. But going off Cahill's form last season and the fact he was stand in captain, AC is still a while off becoming a regular starter for Chelsea.

Baker might make the squad if he impresses over the pre-season but that wasn't the original argument. Brown will be loaned/sold because he's nowhere near it.

And no, I don't regularly watch any other league besides the EPL anymore but I follow all of our players on loan very closely. There are also Chelsea forums where posters who do regularly watch other leagues/our loan players provide updates on their performances. It seems they disagree with you, as does our club, as does every other Chelsea supporter, as does most people who have had a say on the matter in here.

Not really. A wide AM is a major need for us. We have nothing outside of Mane.

You have firmino, Mane, coutinho, origi and to an extent ( I know they are superb in midfield hence to for the extent) lallana and winaldum all play there best just in behind the striker, as a wide forward or througher back. Salah is an excellent addition but I still feel a proper CF would make them a lot more dangerous.

That's true. Sometimes you just have to cut your losses and move on.

I take your word for it but a lot of Fulham fans did seem to really rate him.

You didnt mention Sturridge who is a proper CF. He was surprisingly quite fit last season but was just behind Firmino in the pecking order. Firmino is hugely important to our front three and I think he will be our first choice CF with Mane and Salah either side.

I wouldnt hate it if we went for a CF but we have other areas we desperately need to strengthen before that. We dont struggle for goals.

Clement knows him well so it should be a good fit.
