If KDB formally asked to leave, I'd have no problrm with the club saying to all interested parties "this is the fee". If you pay it he's yours.

It would avoid all the bullshit, that usually ends up with the same outcome except everyones reputation has suffered.

Clubs build their teams around players; there's no point having contracts if you allow players to just leave when they want. I imagine the right way of tackling the scenario I proposed would be to tell De Bruyne that he can move on in a year's time after a replacement has been identified and brought to the club. The player still gets his move and the club are able to replace him properly.

well i didnt think he had reliable info about city but he called psg swooping for alves and us taking danilo.

He's got no info about LFC at all. We don't brief him and as far as I know he has no contacts with inside knowledge. This one is likely to be a figment of his imagination.

Some pearlers from #lolmou's bitch about LFC include Tadic to LFC (in June)!! and that LFC players were all depressed about training back in early March (we went on a good run of form from March to end of the season).

I'd say there would be plenty of LFC sources reporting that Coutinho was not training properly if that actually was the case.

Or we can get a good fee in, buy our replacement now and avoid having a less than committed player for a season.

The benefit of the contract is that you're compensated if the player does want to break it.

Zidane98 has insider knowledge about everything lfc don't you know?

You actually have no idea and are just typing these things because you desperately want Coutinho to stay, well I'm saying he's more than likely going, I would say there is about an 80% chance he leaves this transfer window but hey that's just my opinion.

Hahaha and you think he's going. But good on you if you think Duncan Castles is a reliable source about anything LFC related.

I deal in facts only and the club have said he is absolutely not for sale plus Coutinho has stated he is happy at LFC. Until those two things change I see little chance of Coutinho going this window.

Coutinho reported for training as usual today. Attitude 1st class as always. Reports that Bacelona in Liverpool for talks news to LIverpool

News nowadays is so damn stupid due to the volume of people pumping them out and the completely conflicting bunch of info going on

What makes you think 80%? Really interested to know.

Being reported that Barca officials have arrived in England to finalise the Coutinho deal. It does seem like it's happening.

And just as many reports that he's happy either way and Liverpool won't be selling him.

Another 3 weeks of this, marvelous.

Have to feel for poor Eriksen in all of this. Rejected after trialling at La Masia as a kid, issues a come and get me plea for a 'dream' move to Barça a month or so ago, and not even a hint of interest.
