C'mon Chelsea, its July 1, where are our shiny new toys??? The inner muppet in me is getting anxious.

Really underwhelmed by Rudiger.

Costa wants to leave but no takes and really quiet on the striker front.

What's Moomba's go to line here?

When you amortize the two £70m fees by the length of the contract, and add the square root of the number of kits sold, it'll work out to only cost the club £5.50 per year.
It's not really my go to line. More the way that every football club in the country accounts for purchases and sales.

And when people are saying "how does City buy player X and player Y and not fail FFP it's pretty important to point out that the cost of a transfer is spread out over the course of a contract, and not just dumped in the expenses column straight away.

Of course it has nothing to do with kit sales, nor does it mean that a transfer costs a penny less because it's amortised. But you knew that already.

Don’t get the lack of excitement for Rüdiger. He’s not on the German NT for nothing. He’ll boss the PL next year

In fairness, it is Germany Jr.

Admittedly, I've only seen a small sample size, but he doesn't mind a dive and roll around...

Playing in Italy will coach that into you

That I did.

Welcome back chief. How was the break?

I know, didn't say you were!

Who knows what's happening with transfer spending in general this summer. I have no idea what our exact budget is but across the board clubs seem to be spending or are anticipated to spend well, well above what would've been considered to be normal a year or 2 ago. The market seems to have taken a quantum leap in terms of inflation on the back of the new PL TV deals. General wisdom seems to be that our finances are in a pretty strong position and that we're going for a small number of key signings as opposed to an 8 player squad overhaul.

The fact that we made a 20 mil profit on transfers last season should mean that should be added to this year's budget, then you take into account the CL money. 100 mil net spending shouldn't be out of the question whatsoever

Would be very disappointed if we don't spend big, questions would be asked of FSG and where did all the money go

Owners are allowed to make money on their investment. They aren't running it out of the goodness of their heart.

Leandro Paredes has moved to Zenit for 23 million Euros which can rise up to 27 million Euros. The loving and accepting fans over there will surely be all over this one. If they get Manolas as well I could see them doing well in the UCL.

Also going to lol big time if Ruben Neves goes to Wolves. Porto must be desperate.

Sounds like the Rudiger move means that they dont have to sell Manolas to meet the FFP.

Now getting linked with Javier Hernandez and Andre Grey.

Still think Batshauyi and the Nacho are our top 2 targets though, with Giroud 3rd....

Apparently we've put in a bid for Jackson Irvine
