We'll have a midfield 3 of Barkley-Henderson-Drinkwater. A midfield that is going places.
Can't all have evertons midfield

I just find it funny how Zidane, Jod, Faith, AFL, Jod, Cooldude, CFC, Sozabarus and Jod tried so hard to convince themselves Coutinho loved Liverpool and there was no way he'd even contemplate walking out on them. Despite everyone else telling them the indications were that he clearly would, their level of delusion never let up. In a way it was admirable. Was hilarious when reality finally dawned. An episode to rival MD36 for sure

Handing in a transfer request is a bit different to backstabbing the club as a get me out of here plea
Rose has apologised already for being a very naughty boy.

We've fined the campaigner, now that's hopefully the end of it. He's at the best club he can possibly be at, with the best supporters, the best training facilities, the best team mates and soon the best ground. The campaigner will just have to put up with earning less

Yeah handing in the transfer request doesnt get you fined 2 weeks wages. Stupid northerners dont know how to handle their money
They're still completely different.

Coutinho has a once in a lifetime opportunity to play for Barcelona. The position won't be open forever. Handing in a transfer request is an honest and professional way to push for the move. If Liverpool block it I'm sure he will handle the situation with class and dignity.

Rose on the other hand randomly and unprofessionally threw Spurs under the bus hoping it would land him a transfer to no club in particular. He now has to front up to the club he exposed to public ridicule with his tail between his legs. It was humiliating and cowardly and I imagine he will struggle to look his "teammates" in the eye when he sees them next.

Why you so desperate to become the Spurs baiter No 1? You know ADL has that job for life

He got too big for his own boots. Nobody is really that keen on him after 9 months out and I think he himself isn't convinced he'll come back from this injury and that's where the selfish comments came from about earning one last big contract.

This is like DDG all over again.

There will be a lot of rumours, a deal may even be very close to being agreed, but the player's original club has all the cards in that he is still contracted and very much a key player with no quality replacement lined up, and the transfer window is closing rapidly.

More likely than not imo that Coutinho will stay.
Don't understand the DDG comparisons. He never handed in a transfer request and we accepted a suitable offer. Just ended up turning out great for us.

Shocked mate.

Such poor advise too from whoever is handling his camp. This close to the start of the season, with no replacement lined up after we have made an official statement that he wont be sold.

He wont be sold.

All he has done has ruined his relationship with the fans.

Dumb move.

I was pretty shocked too mate, after all you've been telling us all how he's not the sort of guy to agitate for a move.

Players don't luv their clubs anymore, which is why I refuse to get a players no on my back anymore.
I said I'd take 120m for him if he wants to go to barca.
And don't fool yourself, if spurs had any players good enough for Real or barca they'd do exactly the same thing as cout did.
Really nothing has changed, court falls under the keita category

I think you'll find that my repeatedly stated position on whether Coutinho would leave or not was that it was entirely dependent on how hard he was willing to push for it (like several other potential transfers this summer - including a couple of our own targets).

I said that he hadn't rocked the boat at all to date (he hadn't), and he wouldn't be going anywhere until he did, but that scenario may change. Turns out yesterday was that day!

Liverpool still hold a lot of power in this situation and have prior for keeping a player on for a year after they requested a move elsewhere. Will be interesting to see how they play this one. As has been pointed out, not every player is Luis Suarez, but I suppose working with him every day for 5 years the club would know better than most how Coutinho will respond on the pitch if told he's staying for another year.

It's all finally about to kick off with our 3 signings imminent.

Davison Sanchez the CB from Ajax
Pape Chiek Diop young spanish CM from Celta Vigo (can you get a more spanish name than that)
Gazzianga from Southampton to come in as our 3rd GK

Ross Barkley will drag on a bit longer and will only happen if Everton accept 25-30m

We had the same thing happened to us with Modric when we wouldn't let him go to Chelsea. He worked just as hard that final season and then got his move to RM
