Jurg has made Coutinho a far better player than the managers before him, and 6 months ago was literally like 3 weeks before he signed a new deal. So why would he sign a new deal if he's unhappy, one with no release clause at that

Either hearsay or excuses, doesn't matter, hand us 150 mil and we'll sell, only if we can sign a replacement

If it's just Barca we csn expect Coutinho to come out and clarify, yes?

Because a player is going to leak to the press exactly how Barca are telling him to push for a transfer. Anyone who believes that is dumb enough to believe that Coutinho signed a new contract with a manager he supposedly had "problems" with.

If rumours were about that I had fallen out with the manager and it wasnt true I'd be pretty quick to clarify.

You seem pretty keen to put this all down to Barcas fault, or Sky Sources fault or Duncan Castles fault, or anyones fault but the one person that could end all the gossip.

Seen it lots, where the agent or media or bidding club cops it while the player is shielded from it all. And only when it becomes clear the player is off does he cop it.

And once again, I don't believe that there has been a fallout, but if his side is responsible for putting out rumours that there has been, then it shows he's prepared to play dirty.

So you believe these stories coming out and Barca being desperate to sign him are a totally unrelated coincidence? Do you believe these "leaks" would have happened if Barca had no interest in buying Coutinho? A bit of common sense and logic goes a long way for most of us (although clearly not all).

Suspect there will be something from Coutinho' s camp released after the transfer window closes or Barca buy somebody else.

I believe that Barca is definitely interested in Coutinho and it looks like he's prepared to agitate for the move. If his side is behind the stories then yeah, looks like he's prepared for it to get messy. Much like Van Dyke, much like Keita (although I'm guessing you think thats down to the player, not Liverpool).

Clubs don't have to instruct players and agents how to force their way out of a club. Coutinho knows Barca want him, and if Liverpool won't willingly let him go then he has a few options to speed things along.

I can't believe how many times I've read sell Coutinho next summer and replace him with Keita.

Isn't Keita more a box to box CM type and not really a playmaker?

Yes, clarify to a club that he wants to leave, is your brain screwed on right? One of the most ridiculous things said this week

It doesn't matter if those shit is false, what matters is that if it helps him leave then it suits him for it to be out there, even if it's bullshit. Going by actual evidence it's bullshit, if he's unhappy then he's a moron for signing a 5 year contract with no release clause then

I'm not sure what it is you're suggesting I've said. If you're going to get upset over a statement that I havent made tou probably ahould have another read before you start throwing the insults out.

Which is exactly what I've said a couple of times in this thread.

We no chance to get keita next season neither are you guys.
A top club will come for him IMO probs bayern
Why would we be no chance?

Decent price, he's already expressed interest in playing for us.

Van Dijk was given permission to speak with other clubs earlier in the year. Coutinho wasn't and nor has the club given permission to him or his agent to speak with Barca. Big difference.

Keita seems to be a similar situation to Coutinho with the added caveat that he leaves for £48m next summer if not sold this summer. Our desperation to sign Keita doesn't match Barca's desperation to sign Coutinho hence us moving on after RB refused to sell for £66m.

He playmakes, has a great passing range
He's not a number 10 creator like Coutinho though. Isn't he a better version of Henderson and Wijnaldum in that deeper CM role?

If that's your like for like swap for him I think you'll struggle to break down sides.

An agent doesnt need permission to talk to other clubs.

I've heard you mention that VVD has been given permission to talk to other clubs a few times now. Not that it matters as he clearly doesnt have it now and is throwing the strop of all strops.

But do you have a source for that?

Could see us interested in Keita next season. Yaya and Dinho on the way out and no-one really coming through that can play that role.
I'd be annoyed if we don't have a go at 48m if it's only Liverpool in for him. Would love him to come in and be Dembele's replacement

Coutinho isn't a no.10 either, he plays deeper in midfield when he plays there

Keita's playstyle is more like a Iniesta style playmaker, he just happens to have the engine for box to box

This season yes. Next he will have Bayern, barca etc into him. You seriously can't put yourselves up their with them
Don't see why not.

Coutinho isn't that strong defensively. Keita will play deeper than Coutinho I'd imagine.
