Now you can invest in an actual PL quality striker too (nothing against Chris but there's a reason he's played most of his career in the 2nd tier and why he's been cast off by 2 different PL sides).

Who would you say are the main targets? With your transfer signings it seems you'll be going for continental over local.

100% agree on your assessment; Wood is an excellent striker in the second tier, but I don't think he'll do much at PL level

As for targets, not sure. As you say, Christensen has favoured shopping Europe over England so you'd think he continues there. That said, Rhodes has been mentioned as an option.

May settle for Saiz, Ekuban, Roofe and Doukara, but I suspect us to get one more before the end of the window.

Coutinho has kept pretty quiet through the whole thing. Barca want him to be their star signing - it's no surprise that he would like to take that opportunity. It's just the wrong time for his current club with no replacements in sight and fellow creative midfielder Lallana out with a long term injury. All indications suggest that he understands that with neither Kia or him saying a word to the press or offering to do interviews with press outlers without getting permission first from the club. Coutinho has been attending rehab at training without complaint.

It is interesting to see how much opposition fans are desperate to see him go though!

Also, Barca have moved on to Seri from Nice.

Saiz has been good but the latter two probably suggest someone coming in would be a good idea. Literally no idea who'd be available though.
