We're not replacing Janssen. Works hard and that's the most important thing with this manager. He'll get a 2nd chance.
Fair enough

Would I like Chicharito at that fee. Yep. Will it happen. No.

Agree. Not very astute though. Finding gems is great but a proven gun for cheap could make all the difference.

Not really, they are very Everton type signings.

They've broken/matched their record fees twice this summer, it's not like them at all.

Is this a sneaky Jod-troll post or a standard Jod-dumb post? ;)

The extra PL money and the market changing have caused most teams to break their record transfers recently, it's not like Everton are an outlier. 15/20 PL clubs last season broke their transfer record in 2016, Liverpool and Bournemouth have already done it this window and plenty more will follow.

Sure but they've tended to go fishing for bargains rather than splashing cash around. Didn't they barely spend anything just last January?

EDIT: Lol how could I forget Niasse.

Michael Keane was great for Burnley and was one of the reasons they came so close to staying up but there's no way he's worth €30 M. Great signing tho and with all the business Everton have completed this transfer window I think they can Challenge for top four next year.....
Heheheeh. :D

Not really, Lukaku, Schneiderlin, Bolasie, Niasse all been fairly big money signings recently. They are just getting their business done early this year which I think is blowing it out of proportion a bit.

How many 100m windows have they had? Or even 50m windows?

They spent ~75 in 2016-17 (although 20 of that was on Scheiderlin in Jan). I think they'll sell Lukaku this window which will cover most of that expenditure the same way Stones did last season.

I think if Lukaku goes, then someone like Giroud comes in which sucks up a chunk of that money.

Some of it, Lukaku would go for ~60-70 while Giroud is valued around 20-25. If they go for J Hernandez instead that's only 13m, still plenty left over.

I feel we've become better friends since the reveal :D

What reveal? I said at the time it's been painfully obvious for months.

But let's not start that again.

Everton are signing some very good players.

Pickford and Keane would not be starters at this stage for LFC. Klopp looked at Keane as a depth signing and Mignolet was outstanding last season.

Having said that Keane would get plenty of games for us although Pickford would only get cup matches for us.
