No idea why Ox would think he would be first choice in our midfield when we already have Coutinho, Lallana, Henderson, Can, Wijnaldum, Milner, Grujic and possibly Lemar coming in too.

No chance.
And Keita is coming too. Ox isn't going to be starting for us if he signs.

Milner & Can are out of contract at end of season . Signing Ox now would be to replace one of those guys although the club desperately wants Can to sign a new long term deal. If Milner stays on it will likely be for just 18/19.

How's Llorente any different from Giroud though? Giroud has a pretty great scoring record with you guys, particularly off the bench doesnt he?
Quoted the wrong post. Was meant to be the Krychowiak one.

How are we not all over it? It's West Brom for **** sake.

Really?

Bony is worse than Batman, similar styles though. At least Llorente is a bit different to what we have.
He's cheaper, younger, has won a premier league golden boot and had a goal every two game strike rate at Swansea. I think he has a better upside.

We are after a 3rd in line CF who'll hardly play. Bony is just leaving a situation like that, he's not going to want another one.

Llorente will be a handy weapon off the bench.

It's not necessarily that he's 1st choice, but Wenger doesn't trust him playing CM so he will get zero opportunities to play there at Arsenal. Klopp may have told him he will give him a chance and that's all he needed to hear.
World Cup at play? He'd know that with Walker/Clyne and Rose/Bertrand he's got no chance of playing or being selected if he's playing wing back. The only one who seems to keep getting picked by Southgate despite not playing in his position is Dier.

Maybe you need to sell Cout to afford Lemar?

Sell Coutinho and buy VVD and Lemar and leave Ox at Arsenal. Happy Days
All the club mouthpiece journos say we don't have to sell Coutinho to buy Lemar, dunno what has happened to the 75mil + Origi bid yet

I think I'll just hibernate for the next 48 hours and wake up to the aftermath of the drama

Absolutely, although I don't think he has a chance to play for England in CM though as he is rubbish there as we've seen on multiple occasions at Arsenal. His best chance is to play RWB as much as possible and try and overtake Walker/Clyne for that spot or at least make the squad.

Think I said it weeks ago with Barkley who's motives are similar, who's advising him.
If he truly wants to get into the World Cup squad go somewhere that needs a RB. How long is Coleman still out for at Everton?

Yep he really needs to take a step down to get regular playing time but his ego (and DH agent) doesn't seem to be interested. If Chelsea end up signing Barkley then Ox could be a decent shot at getting some midfield time there as well as RB.

I've said this for a couple of seasons but if Ox wasn't at Arsenal then he's definitely the type of player I could see Pochettino being interested in imo. Young, English with a good engine and decent technically.

I think he's be a good fit at Liverpool as a rotational box-to-box CM, with the potential to overtake Wijnaldum (who's just a bit meh imo) with consistent game time there.

Yeah I feel he needs to take a step down. A Southampton, Everton, West Ham, Stoke.. he could get plenty of midfield time there.
