Strange from them, don't they play opposite sides/positions?

Maybe as the Ox replacement at Arsenal?
I've always thought that by the end of the window that Mahrez would end up with us. Word is we haven't lined up a replacement for Ox though and we have no more money to spend!

I still think there will be one or two additions (there simply has to be to prevent the entire fan base uprising against the club). My best guess would be Evans & Mahrez. The dreamer in me still wants VVD, Seri and Mahrez which should be attainable for a club of our stature.

Barca apparently. On the proviso that Coutinho doesn't end up there.
I feel like this Coutinho transfer is going to be the one that starts a domino effect on many others.

Mahrez, VVD, Lemar (and by extension potentially Sanchez) all depend on it. Must be a lot going on behind the scenes.

I think the ox is actually not a bad transfer at all. 5-10m over priced but just the sort of player you need in your squad with a season of potentially 60 games plus.

Good example is last season in January. He would have been real handy when we had Mane away, Cout & Lallana both out and the rest of the squad knackered.
Yeah except he's shit on the wings.

Yep. Wijnaldum has been a very good buy. Klopp & Conte see something in Ox and Arsenal were prepared to give him a 165k contract.
We also pay Walcott 140k a week, so this is hardly sound logic. Would you have been happy to sign Walcott considering we are paying him so much?

LOL. 75m for van Dijk makes the money spent on Pogba look an absolute bargain now.

Also lol at suggestion Ox will be depth. You don't pay that money for someone who's only going to play in the League Cup. In any case, at CM Ox > Wijnaldum, Can, Miilner and = Henderson anyway.

Pogba looking like a bargain regardless.

We wouldn't be getting him for £89m this transfer window.

Not sure why Pool fans are so upset about Ox being their best midfielder. They should be happy they have strengthened that area. IMO they can build their midfield around Ox.

Stoked with 35m (rising to 40m according to Ornstein) for Ox, squad player sold for our record outgoing fee :thumbsu:

Unfortunately aside from that it's chaos at the Gunners. Club brief Ornstein that we have no money to spend and no replacement for Ox is lined up, we are holding onto Sanchez unless a replacement (strongly suggested to be Lemar) can be bought before the window closes, with no other incoming's planned.

The "no money" thing sounds ridiculous, however looking at it glass half full it has been explained that our current squad size and ridiculous wage structure is a massive issue and by being cheapskates now we are potentially setting ourselves up for something of a rebuild in 2 years time when Wenger finally leaves. This twitter thread explains it pretty well:

No money to spend sounds like PR spin for "no one wants to sign for us".

Doubting me again? Twice in 2 days
Not doubting you at all you just remind me of a Richmond fan at work who for the last 3 months comes in every day saying he can smell the fear in us all because the Tiger train is gaining momentum lol.
I'll give you the the big tip, Liverpool doesn't frighten me at all, you will find a way to bottle it :p

Interesting. He can still score goals and he offers something different and a lot of experience. I wouldn't be against him as a back up for Kane at all.
