Window is shut in England. Only deals that still have loose ends to tie up can still go through. Sky saying there are seven deals that can still happen cos of this - only have another hour to get it done though

Just checked the window is closed and we don't have any other transfers in view of completion for time remaining so we're done for this window.

Rumour floating around yesterday was Mbappe announcement was delayed due to FFP concerns and that because Monaco have insisted on the fee being included in the loan contract it goes towards next seasons accounts, otherwise Mbappe could turn to shit and PSG could just return him.

We won't know if PSG are in trouble for a few years anyway.

So you are defending that kind of outlay? Paint me surprised
Not really defending it.

Rules are in place over spending. If they haven't broken any of those rules I can't see the problem.

Don't want clubs to do loan with an obligation to buy type deals? Change the rules and they won't happen any more.

Will be interesting to see how the likes of VVD, Sanchez, maybe Coutinho act when the football starts again.

All have taken pretty big steps towards forcing a move but it's not really in their interests carrying on with that now.

Be a few uncomfortable meetings coming up though.

Not sure another FFP shitfight is required. Has anyone ever asked you though what rules you would advocate to have in place? You can't just have billionaires ploughing unlimited funds into clubs, that's for sure. Anyone who thinks that is fair is a moron

Happy to keep Cout rather than sell and bring in lemon.

Looks like Geoff Peters and John Percy are certain this is going though. I'll take it. I've been really keen for Silva.

You can have our core, while we'll take the thing that made Sporting dick over (Silva to Slimani. Now with Mahrez again, this should be fun.)

Mahrez pulled an Odenwinghe thanks to his agent (he is not blameless at all)... he should sack his agent, and put in the hard yards.

Not worried about Sanchez, by all reports he wanted a move but didn't force anything. No chance he will half arse it anyway he's such a competitor and knows he can walk in 12 months.

Yeah, sounds like it'll be a good deal for both sides.

While not a fashionable transfer, this one is going to be quite important for squad. Needs to get done or the window was a fail.

It feels so weird to be the one having power in this deal (basically, if Silva falls through, we don't sell Drinky). We thought Silva and Dragovic were just someone bringing up last year's materials again. Who would've thought that a year later, we would get our targets?

Ah well, better late than never, I suppose!

1 for another day I think. Theres a lot of flaws and loopholes in the current rules.

Fuming that Everton never genuinely replaced Lukaku, disgraceful.

We've got no back up to Baines and three proper CB's until Funes Mori returns after Christmas.

A transfer window that started so we'll but we failed to cover all bases, Koeman had been publicly stating the need for a class striker and a LCB, yet neither could be arranged.

Just not good enough if we want to compete with the top six and try for a successful European campaign.

Oh god, just hurry up and confirm Silva already. 18 mins left. This has been a tense deadline day (for Leicester fans, and Chelsea fans too).

(I don't think Barca is going to be bidding on Mahrez, so I'm not even going to consider Spain to be much of a worry.)

Not bad business:
Sanchez (highly rated CB)
Aurier (highly rated WB but controversial)
Foyth (CB for future)
Lorrente (Kane back-up)
Some keeper from Southampton

About £85m spent
I can see Aurier tearing the EPL up. Good buy there.

Haven't heard anything.

People saying the deal is off due to a rib injury for Silva, but he was going to play Hungary, so that couldn't be it.

Maybe it will be officially announced later?
