Lol, when was La liga anything other than a 2 (and at best the odd 3rd team have a little crack) horse race? Germany even worse as when someone challenges Bayern they just buy the best players from that team.

Generally speaking, EPL clubs are overrated as **** - it really isn't hard to see that.

UCL and Europa are the best indicators of league quality you'll get. The excuse of "but middle & lower EPL sides are tougher to play against" is pathetic. EPL clubs have done poorly in UCL and not much better in Europa simply because they're well off the pace technically and tactically.

Good recent example - for the past 2 seasons Spurs have wiped the floor with most EPL sides. 20+ shots on goal, 65-70% possession and 2+ points per game is their standard. Yet Monaco and Leverkusen gave them an absolute bath in Europe last season, and Dortmund did the same a year earlier. Then there's Arsenal (the perennial top 4 version, not the current pile of shit) failing to make the top 8 for 5-6 years straight.

The only team that would be of concern to Barca, Madrid, Juve, Bayern in Europe is City, yet even they aren't great (as Monaco showed).
Tottenham out possessioned Monaco last season - just couldn't stick the ball in the net.

Anyway, EPL has come off a spell of dominance and still finding its way back. Money says that it is inevitable it will. It's a matter of when not if. The worrying thing for the other leagues is, despite falling behind them in European competition, the EPL's popularity continues to grow. That's gotta be pretty sobering for Spain etc

Because Pep had Messi, Neymar, Suarez, Iniesta, Xavi, Busquets, Pique. Then he had Neuer, Boateng, Alaba, Lahm, Alonso, Kroos, Lewa, Ribery, Robben.

Last season he had Bravo, Otamendi, Stones, Kolarov and Fernando trying to implement a game style they weren't capable of mastering. Go figure.
I think you've totally missed my point dude

I just kinda want to him to unintentionally dis La Liga more so than anything.
He said La Liga got dissed.... the league that won the last 4 CL titles.... by the Epl....

Why is anyone taking TC seriously on this topic?
I'm not sure either as there is no argument to be made, but it does serve to humor me.

Yeah, tell you what, why don't you talk about some of the other La Liga teams that isn't Real, Barca, or Atleti? Expand further on them.

Because as far as I can tell, you don't give a crap about what Sevilla did in the Europa. Celtic Vigo clearly didn't give a damn about the Europa, and maybe you can justify for me why Bilabo is not the standard I should hold the La Liga to... because that team for me is just the major reason why I don't think La Liga's all that.

Consider this your opportunity to tell me how great La Liga is without using your big two (plus one). Because any daft league can have a supergod team making the rest of the league look good. I want to hear about the others.

They think its popular on tv because their teams are good lol, but don't acknowledge the evidence on the pitch and their laughable kick off schedules.

Sevilla would win the EPL. Celta would make the CL and even Bilbao embarrassed your top teams a few years back. :$

Well, Sevilla did a great job alright, I mean, they certainly showed us English teams how it was done in the Champions League... oh wait.

Sigh... come on, seriously? Is that the best you can do? Why not try mention a team I haven't even mentioned?

Can you also highlight for me this Bilbao embarrassment.

A Tottenham fan gave his review of all 20 clubs because he felt like it. Can you at least give me something from the other clubs?

He doesn't know anything about them cos he only sees them play twice a year when they play his team.

Mind boggling that you would let Can leave on a free yet pay 40m quid + 120k/week for Ox. Must be more to it than money.

Yep. Juve won't be paying Can 100k wages. Probably more like 70-80.

What is strange is Can playing out of his skin atm. You don't see that from contract rebels usually.

I hope the club puts £1m sign on fee & 110k in front of him. Give him a buyout clause from 18/19 if need be.

I would love just one year where the promoted teams from each league play. Your league is only as good as its worst team (to borrow an AFL saying)...

Alaves vs Huddersfield
Girona vs Newcastle
Leganes vs Brighton and Hove Albion

Would settle arguments.

leganes and alaves were in la liga last season. getafe and levante were promoted. alaves finished an incredible 9th least season, which is pretty much how pellegrino got the southampton job.

Ahh fair enough, my bad, I looked at the 15/16 2nd Division table by mistake.
