Won't happen but I'd love to see Vardy play in that Liverpool team. We've seen how good Salah is with his pace, reckon having Vardy with Salah and Mane on either side would be phenomenal.
Oh god no. Vardy is all pace and finishing. But he isnt the most technical bloke. Not fantastic at holding the ball up or the greatest at passing and doesnt have all the tricks and flicks. I dont think he would work at all.

He's like the exact opposite of Firmino.

But really now, one major thing you do forget is his footy intelligence. Extremely intelligent in everything he does on the pitch, and that sets him apart from just being a speed merchant with good finishing.

Not just for Vardy, but you'd really want a player that knows how to make the right decision and knows what is best for the team. That separates the athletes from the footballers.

He's a smart footballer, he just isnt that top class player. Wouldnt fit in at a top six club, doesnt have enough quality on the ball. Besides, pace isnt really what we need with Mane and Salah either side.

you talking about firminho, vardy or both?

You wouldn't want your striker to have the pace to keep up with Mane and Salah?

Come on Jodwah, this is "Harry Kane is good but wouldn't fit into our team" all over again.

Doesn't need to be the most technical bloke. I've seen your style - your midfielders love putting your quick men through on goal. He'd essentially be a central version of Mane and Salah.

I know you don't love any player outside the top 6 but the guy has a great record against the best clubs in England and would really suit your style. It's all hypothetical but I think he'd easily score 20 a season with you.

Would be surprised if FSG sanctioned a move for Vardy given his age and the potential price tag but he'd be there best striker and the best striker Klopp has had since Auba.

Firmino is a good player but he's not really a striker.

I can see what Jod is saying. Playing a false 9 with good hold up and layoff skills like Firminho at CF allows the pacy wingers to overlap and score most of their goals and I can't see Vardy excelling in that role. Would certainly be a useful option for them though if plan A isn't working, or as extra depth for their wide forwards. At his age and what Leicester will expect for him though I highly doubt it would happen.

It's nothing like that because Kane is world class and Vardy isnt.

Firmino isnt super slow either. He has a decent turn of pace. But no we dont need our striker to have the same pace as Mo and Mane.

This. Vardy wouldnt suit the system. We play Firm in the false 9 role and let Mo and Mane run riot. Vardy doesnt have the skill set to mirror what Firmino does for our side. He also scores his fair share of goals too. Has already got 9 in 19 this season in all comps. Tracking nicely.

He'd be decent backup and give us another option off the bench but he wouldnt start. But its all hypothetical anyways as he is too old to interest FSG.

Vardy's record against the best defenders is far better than Kane's. Kane just beats up on the shit sides
