He was still bossing it in the Championship, just didn't want to leave Derby where he played every week to a club where he'd always be on the bench. A guy like him would be a boss in Spain or Italy in a 4-3-3.

I can sort of understand it but not as a pure comparison. Off the ball he looks like Kante in the way he moves about the pitch, harrasses players and intercepts. High energy, seems to be everywhere albeit not as strong defensively. On the ball with his close control and the way he knits play together going forward he's more in the style of Modric.

Bit of movement on this overnight - according to BILD RB Leipzig have changed their stance from "not for sale at any price" to "will consider offers of £70m". Think we'll see how strong their resolve is in the next few weeks. Wouldn't be surprised if we came in with an offer of £50-60m, let them sit on it for a bit.
