Yeah, I still would rather us to spend that 60m on other areas that are in greater need of upgrade like RW and RWB.

But I'm not Roman and it's not my money and I guess Conte wants a side to challenge for UCL. VVD is a fair old upgrade on Cahill/Zouma/Ake

Sounds like Ake will be the one to be sold, which I don't like but also means Zouma probs won't be going anyway.

Bit of mayo added here surely. He's been great for about the last season and a half and if every team on the planet he'd start then it'd be Madrid or Barca buying him. Wouldn't start here either (in a back 4) but would in a 3.

The prices being reported are insane £60m for a centrehalf, daylight robbery if Soton pull it off.

He'd start for Barca even in a back 4 IMO. The only teams I guess that wouldn't need him would be Real, Juve and probs Bayern.

He's got 5 years still on his contract and Soton want to hold him so thats why he's going to cost a fortune. But for teams who can afford it(it's only a figure in the end) he's worth it as he's as good as whats available.
