If/when Keita doesn't happen, hope we have a crack at Goretzka, unless he's heading to bloody Bayern, too

Unfortunately Goretzka is your classic Bayern player. Will happen next season I feel. At least bid big so Bochum get that 15% resell clause

Anyone want some easy cash jump on Mbappe to stay at Monaco, is front and centre on the kit launch, and from his own instagram. Paying $2.65 to stay.

Neither of those players directly rejected the original offer though. Both were happy to take those deals but got late deals that they felt were better financially and in a football sense.

Nearly all clubs bid knowing they're on good terms with the agent and player already.

Sure but that's incredibly different from no club bidding until they're sure said player would agree to join them. As WC alluded to, everyone's favourite term on here Snubbing comes from the practice of doing just that.

Goretzka is a classic Bayern player but Keita could go anywhere if he stays at Leipzig for another season? Why?

I know there's plenty of time to go but Tottenham have been weirdly quiet this window considering the significant investments being made by the rest of the top 6. Even Everton are spending big. Any idea re: likely ins and outs?
We're in a really difficult position tbh. It's almost impossible for us to buy players that will go straight into our first team, it's arguably been the best in the PL over the course of the last 2 seasons, and the players that would do so are all way too expensive in terms of both transfer fees and wages.

It's clear that we need to improve our depth though, demonstrated by the FA Cup semi. Chelsea were able to bring on Fabregas and Hazard from teh bench while we brought on the likes of N'Koudou and Sissoko. I'd be pleased to see Barkley happen but suspect that if it does it won't be until late in the window as Levy will try to drop the price as low as possible, fully aware that he's entering into the last year of his contract.

We've been strongly linked to Alfie Mawson which I suspect will happen only if Wimmer leaves and I also think that we'll sell Walker for a hefty price and get someone like Pereira in as a replacement. Pochettino has shown over the last two seasons as well that he's desperate to find a Mane-like player but Sissoko, N'Jie and N'Koudou haven't worked out, so I wouldn't be surprised if we try to sign another one.

Bayern traditionally don’t let the best young German stars fall through through their grasp. They’ve been watching him since he was playing for Bochum

i got on weeks ago at 2.50 because i didnt actually expect the price to drift.
Only annoying this is its a two month wait.

How much you go?

We've bid £30m for Rudiger and apparently an agreement is close. Kind of meh about this one. Hardly an upgrade on Zouma and Ake.

No way. Rüdiger is going to be a very very good player. Good pace, good passing, elite athleticism

Hope so. We've been chasing him for the last 2 seasons so i guess we finally got our man.

Really couldn’t understand up until now why no German teams chased him. Spending €30m on a defender is obviously why
