Godwin's Law should be adapted for this board with you around. The longer a discussion goes the probability of a Simpsons reference increases ;)

Totally different. Sterling then went on to act like an utter twat in forcing his way out. Keita doesnt seem the type.

There would be literally dozens of examples I could pull out of clubs publicly saying "x player is not for sale under any circumstances", and then going on to sell them shortly after.

I don't blame them, it's 100% the right strategy to be taking and I hope we are this resolute when clubs come knocking for our best players in future. However, with the exception of a small handful of the wealthiest and most powerful clubs in world football, history tells us that every player has a price, particularly for players who indicate a desire to leave their club as by all reports Keita has done.

Not saying Keita's nailed on to leave, but I do think this idea that Leipzig sit in that very small bracket of clubs that are impervious to any offer for any player is a bit of PR fluff, and I do think he has a price. What that is and whether Liverpool or any other club will hit it this summer, who knows.

I think it's also worth noting that Rangnick took exactly the same position with Sadio Mané when he tried to leave RB Salzburg for Southampton in 2014. It took Mané refusing to train or play, but in the end Rangnick caved and the sale went through on deadline day. Same owners. Same manager. Same agent managing a key player they definitively said they weren't going to sell.

Apparently Arsenal are after Cuadrado
Lol FMD imagine. The ex Chelsea players in England would go close to winning the league...

-------------------Cech

Cuadrado----Huth-----Terry-------Bertrand

-------------------Matic?

-------de Bruyne-----------Mata

----Salah--------------------Sturridge

------------------Lukaku

Forgot Ake and probably more.

Haha didn't know that
yeah until you're officially registered to a club. you can be registered by 3 clubs and play for 2 of them.

happened with demi. atletico bought him for free and then weeks later sold him to us for 4 mil.

Huddersfield are bringing in too many new faces IMO
They dont want to radically move away from what got them promoted. Chances are they will have a completely new lineup ..
a team that will have no chemistry. Teams like Burnley and Bournemouth understood that you have to keep the team together and maybe add like 2 new players .

Apparently Everton still owe United 7.5 million for Schniderlin and 7.5 million for Keane.

Does explain why some places are saying 90 million and others 75 million
most teams owe others fees for players they've bought for a while after the transfer. i believe we might still have a payment to swansea for bony to go.

Wouldn't the Keane fee come to us from Burnley?

Whilst that all seems good. I doubt we get Keita.

They bought a new 11 last season too, took them from battling relegation to promotion.

They've bought Mooy, brought brown back, and will be looking to strengthen.
